Hi Sammy
have you thought about becoming a self employed book keeper, you can't fall out with yourself!!!!0 -
Good luck! As others have said, life is too short to be miserable at work. I am sure you can easily pick up some temp work to start next week.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. LOL - you wanna bet:rotfl: actually I have thought about it and even got my membership to the book keepers association.. we just needed regular money whilst we tried to get out of a hole last year, I suppose I could always try again!Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Well, I have been contacted by a company called preferred mortgage partnership about training to be a mortgage advisor. They wanted me to come for an interview next Friday and I said can I come tomorrow - and they said yes. Now the problem is the interview is in Stockton-on-Tees.
I am sitting here wondering - whats the catch! Its a long way to go to be disappointed.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Not sure how far Stockton on Tees is from you, but I'd say go for it - even if you're not sure about the job. Interview practise is always good, especially if you've not had one for a while.
Walking out was an incredibly brave thing to do - I've never quite had the guts to do that, but I have handed in my resignation without a job to go to - it's scary, but stuff does come along, bills will get paid somehow and you get a chance for a fresh start completely.
Good luck for the interview!Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

Just had an email from them. The info they send say they heavily subsidise the set up fees. All I have to pay is £495 and then 10 monthly installments of £125 for 10 months after the first three months.. They anticipate you should be earning within 8 weeks and paid within 12. Stockton-on-tees is 3 and a half hours away from me here, but 2 and a half from Liverpool. I do the books for my sister-in-law and was going to go up there to pick some stuff up. So if I set off at 8am get to Liverpool at 10am and leave at 1pm I should get to Stockton by my appt at four.
Should then get home by about 8.30pm...... oh what a day. What will i do without mse for a whole day!
Good luck looking for another job - have you got anything planned.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

Sammy, you will be careful wont you - thats a lot of money to pay to a company youve never heard of, it sounds a bit risky......sorry, don't want to be negative but would hate you to get ripped off."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Sammy - good for you for getting out of a situation you were unhappy in. Big old world out there you know.
I chose redundancy 6 weeks ago(how un-MSE is that!) over a continuous and desparately unhappy work situation.
You know what - scariest, but best bloody thing I've done in years.
Will echo Snaggles though - check out the company thoroughly first.
