Drivers are always polite, will carry the shopping into the kitchen if I want them to, point out any substitutions and will take back any I'm not happy with. Can't fault them well worth the £3 or so that I pay.
I'm the same, used them for years. Only issue I ever had with them was when they didn't deliver my prawns for my xmas dinner, didn't sub them and still charged me for them. Called them up and got an instant refund. Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -
We have issues with packing, and short dated items each and every order, but fine apart from that!0

I agree about the house number. I've done delivery work before and that was my biggest hate. Not so bad when it is a straight row of terraced houses, but when it is some weird housing estate/cul-de-sac with houses dotted all over in no particular order.0

I'm afraid I can beat your delivery story. I ordered from ASDA (this was some time ago now) and was given a delivery time around 7pm. After 8pm, I phoned to ask where my order was - they apologised and said that they would send him back out. When he did arrive, there were many bags so I stacked them in the front room as quickly as I could to allow him to get back off again. After checking, several items were short. Phoned Customer Services, who offered to send him out again. He admitted that when he was stopped at some lights, some kids had opened the back of the van and stolen some bags, typically mine. He didn't arrive. I phoned CS again - he had delivered. No, not to me he hadn't. Again, they phoned him up - he had delivered to a totally different address up the road and they had accepted delivery (that I had paid for). He went to pick up the goods from the other address - the family had made tea out of the contents, and gave him what was left, which he passed on to me. So, still short of items. By now, I was a little angry and after many more calls a manager came out to apologise with a bottle of wine (probably on his way home by now)! I thought that this was a good time to give up and go shopping myself:(0

have to admit i'm really surprised. i've ordered online from tesco, asda and sainsburys and have had absolutely no problems. on two occasions with Tesco I wasn't there when the driver arrived so he called me and told me he'd pop back round after he did another delivery. I find the drivers all really helpful and friendly.. and have had no problems having fruit and veg refunded if it's not up to scratch and items refunded if they went missing.0

Cant comment on Tesco but what happens at Sainsburys is when a customer orders the shopping online the shopping isnt picked until day of delivery so whether you did the order 2 weeks, 1 week or 2 days before delivery date items can still be out of stock. Yes its a pain when things are out of stock, some people are ok with it and some aren't.0

We had a doorbell and nobody ever used it, prefering to rap on the door with their knuckles. When it broke, we didn't bother replacing it.
We have a doorbell in perfect working order, but it can't be heard from the outside, so we always get a ring immediately followed by a knock when the caller thinks it isn't working. Perhaps I should put a sign on the door saying "The doorbell DOES work"!Extra Payment Every Week Challenge:

on a different note, a couple of weeks ago i wondered what this bottle was, i emptied the rest of m shopping and when the driver went i realised it was a bottle of gin! not on my list and not billed for, happy days! sonething annoying that does seem to happen though, is when i remove something from my shopping list yet i still get it and billed for it. i am sure i have removed them and not just meant too.£18 for my old mobile.

I normally have no problems with Tesco deliveries but my last delivery (about two weeks ago) I was missing 3 x 2 litres of milk, 2 x large pots yogurt, 1 x Lambs Liver & 1 Chicken livers.
I rang the CS and she tried to get hold of the driver who had no long left and not answering the phone
1) Well unless he is hands free do you blame him - after all it is against the law to use a mobile while driving!
2) As they are on strict time schedules with the amount of time to deliver goods then why would they respond to a call that would delay them or make them come back to me!
I was told she would try again and call me back - no joy with the driver, she asked if I wanted the delivery rescheduled with the missing items, er... no as one of the milk's were for my daughter returning home from holiday and the Lambs Liver was intended for that day's meal so even the next day would have been no use.
As these were meat & Dairy products I am guess that it was two bags of shopping, so my guess is it was not the driver who did not bring the right bags but the picker that put the items in the wrong box on the trolley.
I also had 3 x lemons delivered that were well past their best.
All these were refunded (promptly I might add) but what does say me is that as far as the next driver/delivery is concerned he will have a note to say "you complain on your last delivery" (happened to me in the past), well I find that out of order as I don't complain (perhaps I should) I just ring them to say I don't have these items!Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0
