I used Tesco home delivery for the 1st time last week. Got my £17 voucher for money off 1st shop so thought why not.
Entered all my shopping on the easy to use website. Processed it and got a txt to say i can change it up to 24 hours before delivery slot of 20:00-21:00 23/9/13
At 19:30 I was on the phone and decided to turn on my outside light so there would be no excuse that they couldn’t see my door number. I noticed a van parked across my drive, I thought it maybe a neighbours getting their delivery 1st.
At 20:03 approx. I heard my letterbox flap. The delivery driver tuck a card thru suggesting he was "unable to get a reply" and wrote the time of 20:00
I opened the door to amazement, the van was speeding up the road, and I mean really fast.
I called the 0845 number to complain.
They said they would look into this and attempt to contact the driver, this was @ 20:15
They called me back and @ 20:25 he was too far away to return, and was out of contact up until them.
Apparently my delivery fee of £3.50 will be refunded.
I believe he had no intention of making the delivery.
Has anyone any suggestions of what extra I should do or to whom to complain to?

You're surprised that GTAV, the biggest and fastest selling game of all time, was out of stock? It's no different to a tin of beans being out of stock, get over it.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Not necessarily talking about the OP but can i give some advice to all householders ? !!!!!! please put your house number on the front of your house where it can clearly be seen from the road. At the gate would be useful or higher up near the front door. Also fit a working doorbellFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

That's because you don't understand the way things work.
You are not "ordering" anything in the true sense, you are simply leaving a shopping list for a member of staff to go round the store on delivery day and and pick for you.
You get what they have on that day, and at the price that applies on that day.0 -

Pah...Tesco Delivery....never ever order from them...5 mins away from them...messed up first delivery...and I believe I am not the first...or the last ...Ocado...and I never ever had any cause to complain...simply the best out there...I refer to my byline below ...
Ad hominem
An attack upon an opponent in order to discredit their arguement or opinion. Ad hominems are used by immature and/or unintelligent people because they are unable to counter their opponent using logic and intelligence.0 -

I've been having a Tesco delivery for a couple of years and never had a problem. Drivers are always polite, will carry the shopping into the kitchen if I want them to, point out any substitutions and will take back any I'm not happy with. Can't fault them well worth the £3 or so that I pay.0
