Another gorgeous sunny hot day yesterday
Thanks for you lovely comments jessy, good idea re boyfriend, but social distancing may be a problem.. lol
Another quiet day at home, wildlife seems to be increasing daily, im sure the lack of dog walkers in the counrtyside is leading to a boom in baby animals , a lot os chicks/baby rabbits etc get killed by dogs when their owners let them run off lead without realising ..

well the lovely weather continues.. and the strange times..
Got my first furlough pay today.. wasnt as bad as i expected. My company are talking of taking advantage of the june furlough extension, so i may be at home for a while.. its a pity its in such scary and worrying times for the world..
I continue to go from positive and loving time at home to enjoy the beautiful countryside, riding out in the early morning sun, looking at wildlife and seeing the fields full of lambs, then i go to worrying about family keeping healthy, having a job to go back to, etc..
Ive bought the months supply of animal feed and bedding, just the hay to collect.
The pantry and fridge are well stocked, and i continue to shop for my son who is still at home self iolating.
Life is good as regards our home and relationships, we are loving the spring, just wish we could start to see some normailty return the world, and the death rates to reduce.
my heart goes out to all those families who have lost someone, the thought is unbearable of what they are going through..current official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for

what a gorgeous sunny morning! im just waiting for washing machine to finish, then im pegging that out, then off for short ride - my daily exercise- chunky cobs exercise too..
All this months money allocated for outgoings- transferred all excess cash to p.bonds so im not tempted to dip into it, it helps me keep focussed on the budget if theres no surplus cash sat about
Still paying sons direct debits and shopping, so left extra in my food and petrol account to cover those..
He is planning on having another week of before seeing if we are over peak, if death rates still not declining i will be encouraging him to stay at home..
could do with a big win on bonds then we wouldnt have to worry about paying mortgagescurrent official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for

Good luck with the p.bonds! I am hoping for a win on the lottery so I don't have to go back to work when the lockdown is over! 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

well im still home on furlough, 5 weeks now!! hubby was also furloughed last week, so we are cracking on with repairing the stone walling we had planned to do this year in our hols..
Son went back to work monday, so thats my main worry him keeping safe.
The weather is gorgeous again, i so appreciate the lovely countryside we live in at this time more than ever..
Moneywise, my current plan is to add to the emergency fund every spare penny till i know if i have a job to go back to, then we can make plans again either way.. its made me realise how fragile life is, and how having an emergency fund is so important to buffer us against the unknown.

nothing much to report, other than still at home, the wildlife is keeping us amused..
Get very frustrated at times with the amount of people ignoring the restrictions and still flocking out for walks in the countryside, dogs off leads, picnicking etc.. im trying to think = theres nothing i can do about other people- but it affects all of us if this virus doesnt stop being spread around..current official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for

I know exactly what you mean 😦
I completely understand that people feel frustrated having to be at home all the time, but in the grand scheme of things a couple of months is nothing in comparison to their entire lifespan. I'm not sure why people don't seem to understand that the more they (and all of us) comply with the rules, the sooner they (and all of us) will be able to get back to doing exactly what we like! It's really not that difficult a concept to grasp!!!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

well Boris, i cant say im impressed with the vague and frankly crazy announcement last night i must say...
i had a group e.mail from my work saying most staff will remain on furlough until the end of June, and im not bothered about that, 80% pay and safe is alright with me, just hope jobs are there to go back to...
i plan on continuing being frugal, saving all excess cash in bonds, then re- assess 1st july, either back to normal with maximum overpayments to catch up, or planning new employment options, just going to have to be patient and play the waiting game- which frankly im not good at..
we plan on trying to make the best of the situation, get jobs done that we were planning for our annual leave, thankfully mainly all low/no cost, wall repairs/repairs/weeding etc..

a lovely sunny morning here, just been out to feed the chickens, sheep, and horse, and let horse out to graze the yard and general area, save mowing!
we have two lovely pheasant families at the moment, each female has more than 10 chicks hatched in the last 2 days! lovely to see, so cute too..
our sheep are looking summer ready, the shearer turned up to clip them yesterday. it was so funny, each one looking amazed at the other, as if to say- " Wheres your wool gone?"current official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for
