    :j Hi diary land!

Thank you nattypants for you lovely comments!

Well, here goes with month 4 of my 36 month challenge.

Today we made our first overpayment of 2014, £50 saved from grocery spends, as we only needed a small shop, our freezers are full still from xmas. Did a meal plan for the next ten days from the freezer, so hopefully next week will be able to do the same again.

Was amazed when i totted up our over payments in the last 3 months, £1237.89! all from small savings and overtime..

My resolutions for 2014 are to stick to our savings and overpayment goals, and loose a few pounds in weight, my muffin top needs to go before shorts and tee shirt weather.

Also, started sealed tin savings 15/12/13, so trying to save a few extra £s from my personal spends in this for my horse fund..

    X Sammy X:)

    hi diary peeps!

one week into 2014 , managed to stick to diet, 1st weigh in tomorrow.

Ive managed quite a few £2 coins into my horse savings tin this week.

This weeks frugalities towards mortgage overpayments include- £18 claimed back from Westfield for dental check up, £1.53 from quidco, we have £26 tracked for home insurance in November, hope will be ready for payout soon, im new to quidco, so this is a first with insurance through them..

We are on track to be below £38k for the 1st of February!

Really hoping all goes to plan for this months savings goals.. We are working hard, hubby doing any extra shift he can manage..

The quest to get our forever home goes on..

:) hi diary land! ive neglected you, had hectic week with work and family life, must try harder to keep you updated!

lost another 2lbs last week, 1 more to go then the 6lb i put on at xmas gone!

quite a few £2 coins in horse savings pot this week, but no overpayment, mainly due to vet bill for naughty spaniel £114, and new kettle and toaster (much needed).

me and hubby are treating ourselves to night away on saturday (paid for with xmas money from family) , cant wait, January hasnt been as money saving as i wanted, work has been hectic, elderly parents and children demanding of time (good job we love them), so we are ready for some quality us time..
our pay days friday and following Tuesday, so will update savings then..:rotfl:

Hi diary land.. Feeling really positive about our goals, another no spend day today. I think i had relaxed a bit too much, its easy to slip back into not watching the pennies, and i know small savings here and there really add up, and make all the difference when you are saving, and overpaying..

Its so motivating to read how well others are doing, i love this forum!
