I have tried OTA updates, many times, my phone downloads the update, sits there for a good five minutes and then tells me that an error has occurred, please retry.......(so perhaps it is not KIES that is at fault)
I have tweeted Tmobile - who are as much use as a wet kipper - they gave me an email address (Tmobile support) to ask for help from - no response from that
So - at the time (3 months ago) - I gave up
I now have more vigour and intend to get my phone updated by hook or by crook
Have you put your phone into debugging mode?Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

I did try this once - it appeared to be some form of higher level access - it made no difference to my attempts to update the Android system......
Should it make any difference ?

That would usually be the message if your phone is rooted.
XDA developers forum and flash stock rom via Odin would always be my choice .0 -

My phone is not rooted - I have never tried anything like that on it - I have simply tried updating it OTA and via USB/kies
neither have worked for me0
