Hi all.
3 pairs jeans, 1 t-shirt, 2 dresses (1 hand-washed, 1 done in WM) and assorted undies (mine) on the whirligig today.:T
Mumto5 (((HUGS))) what an awful worrying time for you. Posi-vibes for you, and for everyone else needing them just now.:o
Bonnie OMG:eek: – thank goodness no-one was in there to be showered in glass.
Sleepless night for me last night:( – we had Mr LW's pal over (he wanted to meet the dogs, and also we had a pack of Purple Moose Brewery ale for him as a thank you for keeping an eye on our place while we were away) and as always, I spent the entire night autopsying the evening to work out when/if I said anything stupid/offensive/otherwise unacceptable.
Also found out that another of Mr LW's friends (one who, unfortunately, doesn't like me at all) is signed off work for 4 weeks with stress.:( I'd drop him a supportive email, but I fear it wouldn't be welcome – so I'll see if Mr LW would care to email him, perhaps.
Personal Challenge-wise: although I'm not doing so well on the make-up and jewellery bit (though I did pop on my favourite Pentagram last night before A's visit), I have been doing 30 mins WiiFit daily; ably aided by Bailey, who thinks it great fun to drop his toys on the balance board while I'm using it.:D And of course, playing outside with the dogs and getting them to chase their tennis balls must be providing exercise for my arms.:o
This afternoon I have a load to do on the pc – picture scanning, back-ups etc. I'll be using the 11-year-old gerbil-powered pc, so it'll take a while; I shall do other stuff on the netbook while it contemplates its navel.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi folks, thankyou so much for the cakes & good wishes yesterday
Hugs to anyone that needs/fancies one
Bonnie I'm so glad no-one was in the kitchen that must have been really scary
Not wanting to scare anyone else, but on a similar theme I never leave my wm on while I'm out or overnight, after a friend came home from shopping with small grandson in tow to find her house on fire and the Brigade putting it out. Nobody was hurt but they had to move into a rented house for 6 months while the damage was put right. So to me, the time saving just isn't worth the risk. Sorry to bring that up
So today I've taken the kittens to the vets, washed towels & bedroom nets and got the big fluffy dressing gowns washing now. Painted all bedroom walls, waiting for it to dry.
Hoovered ground floor, stairs & landing again (blimmin cat litter goes everywhere!)
Meeting DS later for a brew & cake

I'm afraid everything else will have to carry over to next weeks list. Packed ready for caravan and I have done quite a bit in DD's room, which was my challenge for this week0 -
Washing up done, still more to do  Lots of pots though which is why its taking so many loads, guess that's a downside to bulk cooking
Also welded on porridge as DD has decided its that time of year.
I ventured under the sink  I found 4 of those £shop disposable dehumidifiers full and I have no idea how long they've been there for. Replaced those (writing todays date on the new onesThen I can work out how long they last) and chucked a spray bottle of some homemade cleaner. No idea what it is or how long its been there, but I think the last time I used it was when ex lived here (that'd be 2008 then ). Found cleaning supplies I didn't realise I had so I will be scrubbing the livingroom rug on Monday when DD is out at school for an extra hour
Found some 'bang' cleaner as well, don't remember when I bought that but I'll see if I can utilise it for deep cleaning the windows/floors as its nearly a full bottle.
Going to do my me time & sewing repairs now while I catch up with my tv on demand. Back is aching even more now so I think its as good a time as ever to do them. Will do another HHC about 3pm, after reminding DD to go to Mr T or Mr A for a drawing pad for school.

Friday - Little bit of everything
Just about sums up most of my days!
Got 1st load washing on line then had nice sociable round of delivering village magazines, going to mobile library then on to MacCoffee morning at village shop.
Have taken redcurrants out of freezer, gathered apples from tree and made crumble topping for this eve's dinner with friends. Quite a home grown meal - have also defrosted chard.
Dining room table tidied, cleaned and table laid. Need quick s&s round lounge/dining room, but it isn't bad, and hall is ok. Rather hoping dinner guests won't venture into the kitchen.................
Tried and failed miserably to use new apple/potato peeler/corer. OH came back from work on MOnday to say someone had brought one in, and we had to have one...........so that's what men at work talk about all day!! Anyway one duly arrived from Amazooch and although impressive so see an apple peeled, cored and sliced all by turning a handle, I had rather wanted the roast potatoes to be whole rather than in a neat slender spiral..............
Anyway now I'm on the computer I need to "finalise" the photos to put on an SD card and try it out on the TV. Very 70s-80s cliche about sending dinner guests to sleep watching a slide show of your hols, but the guests have asked repeatedly.
Then last minute pre-guest tidying which with any luck may include sorting out some of the piles of paperwork in the kitchen (among the rest of the clutter).Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0
