Thank you dusty and natty
I fell off the flying wagon towards the end of last week and boy, did it show. We went to my BFF's wedding yesterday (wonderful day despite me having the migraine from hell) and I woke up this morning to the house looking like a scene of devastation. So I…
Stripped all the airers which were cluttering up the LR
Ironed the lot and put it all away
WMx2 and decluttered airers
Bossed DS1 and DS2 into helping clear the kitchen
Emptied all the bins and flung as much carp as I could -- a full black bag
Helped the boys tidy their room by dragging all the mess into the middle of the floor and threatening a second bin bag with what was left after 20 mins -- surprisingly, it all found a home!
Had the threatened "try on" session to declutter the boys drawers; an hour and a bazillion pairs of socks later, another black bag was ready for the CS
Swept and mopped the kitchen floor
Didn't lose my temper when DH dropped my dinner on said nice clean floor
Bit my tongue while he stuffed his face with the nommy Thai curry which hadn't been dropped and I ate some manky spinach and ricotta rubbish
HHT while getting the boys into the shower and bed
Busy day but worth it; feel accomplished and as though I can get back on track this week. By rights I should be knackered but I woke up an hour ago with something in my eye and it's burning every time I try to close them  Hope Monday is a good one for all xx0 -

Thanks for the lists, was a bit naughty towards the end of last week and gave up a bit... as a consequence the house is now punishing me! I did manage to have a lovely weekend with DH though, so it was definitely worth a bit of laziness house-wise, we don't have many child-free weekends left! Back in with a vengeance this week and still working on completing and going through my Toots list.
 Just noticed that the under sink cupboard is on this week's list... not looking forward to this! Mine seems to be the abandoned playground of cleaning products past and giant spiders!

Hi Skinty, we drove past Trave£odge in Wolves on Saturday evening, having made a detour to avoid a blocked motorway, and thought of you and your DD there. How's she doing? Is her face better?Honey_Bear wrote: »*puzzled*
?ironing tea towels?
Not the honeycomb cotton type, of course  - but the linen ones seem to screw themselves up in knots on the line and I can't fit them tidily into the drawer. I leave the teatowels 'til last because they're so quick and easy to do: as a child I used to love ironing them while my mother did the cotton sheets (she had a big flat iron on the big ironing board and I had a little flat iron on the sleeve board). In the days before steam irons there was the fun of sprinkling the dry washing and rolling it all up into a big sausage to get it damp again so that the creases would iron out properly. It's a memory from the happiest period of my childhood, so I suppose that's why I continue doing it. And with the steam iron they take less than a minute each, so not exactly a hardship!
Grey and very still but warm here today. Loads of washing to do. Off I go...0
