    Hi all.
Flying visit from me, working lots of day shifts, and decorating the spare room in the evenings, so only been lurking occasionally.
I wanted to tell you that msl seem to be paying out. I got seven emails from paypal this morning, detailing seven different payments into my account from msl :j:beer::D
    Hope you are all well.
Squills you're just a big sock really:D, glad your wife still makes you happy. It may be the wine talking, but still nice to hear. Make sure you tell her too.
    Sending hugs to all.
Off to bed for me, as I've got an early start tomorrow.
    Night all.

The thing is she drank champagne, white wine and red wine and apparently her glass was never empty. We knew it might happen and tried to tell her to take it easy but to no avail. Shame is she missed a lot of all 3 weddings cause of it. She thinks as sis and I are both married to recovering alcoholics we are judging her but we are just trying to help her. But maybe we should realise that from our own experiences alcoholics only give up when they are ready.

Talking about the allergy thing after son's wedding my sis went to her room at 7.30a.m. to check on her and have her some Nurofen for her headache. When dd and i met her at 9.30 to take her to Roman Road market ( fab market)her eyes were all red as she was having an allergic reaction. She is allergic to Ibuprofen and Aspirin and has been hospitalized a few times in the last few years with Anaphalactic shock. So we took her to a pharmacy who gave her 2 antihistamines and told us to get some breakfast into her. We went to a cute Italian cafe and she had 2 lots of toast, fresh juice and a large t. She was ok in about an hour. Younger sis did not think to tell her Nurofen has Ibuprofen in it!!
And as the wife of an alcoholic I know an excuse when i hear one.

She was p!ssed as a newt
  • I believe that statistic applies mainly to student students ;)

As a full time employee with a responsible job who studies on the we'd, that *probably* doesn't apply to me :p

Sadly I did not fit this criteria. As a mature student caring for 5 kids between 5-11 years old and working part-time, I never had time. In my three years of studying I had a half a lager and felt drunk... but I have made up for it since... but only a little! I do have to admit I am pleased my kids have had the opportunity to live the student life fully.

 at the nurofen thing

The breakfast was probably to soak up the remnants of the night before. I know I look pretty :eek::eek: sometimes the morning after the night before

I wasn't trying to poke fun or take the mick, and hope that you don't think I was trying to be offensive. It's hard to tell in the written form whether a post is serious or not. Hence the use of the smilies :)

I think the subtle irony in your original post may have been missed Rose :)
