It doesn't sound awful! It's exactly how I feel. I'm glad to have found people in similar situations and with the same goals. I wish I had started this journey sooner; most of my debts have been created in less than 2 years
But as you say, let's focus on the future. You will be debt free in no time, I am so jealousHopefully we will both learn some good habits and hopefully if I manage to pay as much off each month as I can my DFD will be even sooner

Ah... I still have the loan after my credit card then the joys of a mortgage. So I will be pestering people on here for a long time to come.
I have made a decision. IF (thats a bit if) we have any money left over from our £180 then i am going to put it in a pot. I think I will put the extra £20 from our budget in the pot too... as we have no emergency fund.
Oh gosh... I think I am becoming sensible.

I have no emergency pot either and it's pretty scary but on a positive for the first time ever I have put money aside for the yearly car expensesLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

That's excellent fmess. I think I will follow your lead about doing that as well to be honest. Between, insurance, tax and MOT cars are bloomin' expensive.
It's amazing how I never thought of stuff before as I would just put any "surprises" on my credit card but the thing is, these are not "surprises". They happen every year, at the same time!!
I now have a masterplan which I think will work quite well. I already have 12 SFDs planned for when I am at work but if I have pyjama days for 8 other days then that will be my 20 SFDs all sorted. If I am having a pyjama day, I just don't get dressed and take my duvet downstairs and just keep cosy. It's brilliant and since I don't go outside in my pyjamas, no chance of spending anything.
So... have woken up at lunchtime and thinking about going back to sleep. I have work tonight (second last shift in my current job) so really should have another snooze. Isn't that the best excuse to be lazy ever.
Nothing really money-related to report as I am having a pyjama day until I have to leave the house so shouldn't spend anything.
oooooooooooooooh. I wonder if scubaangel heard anything about her job. will have to go over to her diary and ask. Fingers crossed it's good news.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Pyjama days are amazing, especially if you have a onesie! My only downfall is that I have 4 dogs who need to go walkies, so every pyjama day must have a few hours of clothes wearing whilst I walk them
although it is good exercise for me and them and helps top up the vitamin D! Plus it's free :T:T

I popped over here before I visited my diary.
Not heard about the job I mentioned but have an interview on Tuesday for one I applied for a couple of weeks ago and had forgotten about as usually you hear within a couple of days for agency stuff. I need to log in to reed to see if I can find the original job description for it so I can do some prep when I'm not tired and hungover tomorrow. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Sorry about the delay. I was sleeping off a nightshift. (is it bad if I fell asleep with mse left on my computer?? maybe I am a little addicted).
Diary will be a bit short but sweet tonight, longer tomorrow I imagine.
Anyways, tonight is my last shift in my current workplace. People keep asking me if I am sad to be leaving but, in honesty, I'm not really. I will miss some people but I just don't feel like I belong there anymore. I don't agree with our new way of working, and someday (hopefully) the people up high will realise it doesn't work. I am kinda just relieved to getting out of there before anything majorly bad happens (again).
I am not really a fan of onesies fmess... I think it comes from wearing them as a child and struggling to get to the toilet on time. I just don't think they are very practical. Love the design of some of them though.
My parents have a doggie who I walk every so often but not every day as my dad finds it a great stress reliever. The doggie is adorable, incredibly intelligent. What sort of dogs do you have??
Ah, scuba. Have replied on your thread but glad to hear you have another interview and let's just hope you don't have to choose between the two. Do you have one you prefer??
Glad you had a great weekend and outlasted some of the lads. Nothing like looking feminine and still beating the boys.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

As for a preference not sure, still can't remember anything about the one I've the interview for....from the questions the recruitment person was asking am fairly sure its a warehouse job, they were concerned about my willingness to be in that sort of environment and on my feet for up to a 12 hour shift, they also wanted to know if I'm happy to be drug tested. Ahh yes its good to be in my home town....I'm almost 30 I'm meant to have at least one kid and a drug habit to fit in.
I love my onesies - my sister bought me a primarni cow patterned one a couple of christmas' ago....and I was given a new one this weekend, I'm now the proud owner of a Spongebob Squarepants Onesie. Wore it for most of Friday afternoon/evening before we went out, think the boys thought I'd wear it to the pub.
I miss having a dog to walk, my Dad had to have our elderly Dal pts a couple of months ago, a friend of mine suggested I look in to the Cinnamon Trust, they help find people to assist caring for the pets of the elderly, or injured for long or short term. Round here there are a couple of people wanting dog walkers for small breeds.
Fmess I've been known to put my wellies and outdoor coats on over some of my less loud pjs to take the dog out in the past.
Enjoy the last shift stewby. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Evening, bit late for me, I should be asleep but couldn't resist popping on here! I think I'm addicted
lol
Definitely sound like you've made a wise decision on the job front stewby. I hate work related stresses grrrrrr
I have two German pointers, a sprollie and a three-legged Doberman cross pup. We just have random dogs from the local RSPCA but my OH never had pets as a kid and we're making up for that now
scubaangel don't tell anyone but if it's dark in the morning, I walk the dogs in my PJs then go back to bed

Erm... morning I guess.
Have spent the day reading but not writing. Thank goodness yesterday was not the start of the October challenge as realised on my last shift that my fob watch had stopped running and the second hand had fallen off.
*facepalm*
Had a fantastic last shift with lots of lovely people... the kind that would have put doubt into my mind if I was not 100% sure of my plan. I start my new job on Wednesday so am very much looking forward to that. (we will just see if I am still saying the same at 06:00).
I am currently 3 hours and 37 minutes into my first SFD. Hooray!! We went shopping yesterday and bought some stuff from tescimos (using my clubcard coupons). All sensible stuff believe it or not. We bought bread and ham and chicken for sandwiches, some crisps and we even dropped to tescimo's ginger nut biscuits. However, we did stick with the mcvities chocolate digestives as they were the same price as tescos own brand. My favourite buy was a packet of pasta... we paid £2.00 for a 3kg pack of tescimo's pasta twirls. My normal packet of marshalls is about £1.80 for 500g I think so it was a great deal.
Tomorrow (well, today) is meal plan day. We have a freezer full of food, a nicely stocked cupboard so we are going to start planning.
Doggies sound very cute. My parents have a rescue dog and she is so loving and caring and wonderful, it breaks my heart to think someone could have been mistreating her. She is scared of getting tied up in case she is left (we think this is what happened before) so you can't take her to shops or anything but she is very affectionate and loves going for walks (loves realising she is almost home even more). I couldn't imagine life without her now and I don't even live with my parents anymore.
I couldn't go outside in my pyjamas fmess... however, I am quite a fan of keeping my pyjamas on and putting combats and a hoodie over the top then walking up to my mum's house. It's a bit more sly though.
Hope you guys are having a great couple of days and hopefully scubaangel has an answer now. Think the interview is today so if you see this good luck. Remember to B+.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
