Hi Stewby noticed you'd visited my diary so thought I'd pop over and say Hi.
I'm with you on the inability to wake up without multiple alarms, I have a tendancy to regard anyone who voluntarily wakes up before mid morning with suspicion! Then again at the moment I'm virtually nocturnal, seem to be getting to sleep between 5 and 6 most mornings. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Hiya.
I normally go to bed at about 04:00ish so not quite as nocturnal as you are. My OH hates it when I have to get up early as I normally set two alarms (two minutes apart) and have them set to snooze for five minutes. They repeat ten times in total. So about every 2-3 minutes, the most annoyingly loud tune comes out of my phone. I also position it away from the bed so I have to get up to stop it. It works very very well.
I have read your diary but I don't really have any advice (too new to give advice) and am a bit socially awkward so I generally just click "thanks" to show people that there are people reading what they write. I am enjoying your diary though, when will you find out if you have been successful with your job application??Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Feel free just to natter its what I do most of the time!
Hopefully by the end of the week but the friend who told me about the job wasn't sure when they wanted to pencil in interviews so will just have to remember to turn my phone off silent occasionally just in case. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Ooooooooooooooh, that sounds exciting. You are almost at the end of the week already. I will have to keep an eye on your diary to see how you get on. Definitely keep a check on your phone, I was practically glued to mine after my interview as I didn't want to miss the phone call.
Good luck scubaangel and I hope you get the answer you want. As my dad always says... B+ and remember, it is their job to find your negatives so don't hand them over on a plate.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Knowing my luck they'll phone Friday afternoon while I'm in Wakefield with my friends and I'll answer the phone tipsy, lol. And I have no negatives, I'm flippin awesome, just not great at finding a job!
I've just been having a read of your diary, you've had loads of good advice for cutting debt and over paying things, I assume you've punched all the numbers in to the snowball calculator? Helps to work out which debt needs overpaying first (assuming you can obviously).
Noones really mentioned attempting to up your income, as you probably saw from my diary thats basically all I've been able to do lately - unemployment with a JSA Sanction seriously sucks - you said that you do alot of christmas stuff on amazon, have you looked in to things like swagbucks and instagc to earn amazon vouchers while you're at home in your pj's enjoying the NSD's?
Both sites have threads on here, might be worth a look, I'm loving insta at the moment as I found their reward radio, 1 point for 10 mins of music and it only costs 160 points for a £1 amazon gift voucher. Adds up pretty quickly without my really noticing (obviously not wise if you've limited internet allowance but at the moment am taking full advantage of Dad's unlimited package). It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Unfortunately I'm at work by 7.30am so have to be an early to bed and early to rise person, plus I need 8 hours sleep so always very early to bed. I promise there's nothing suspicious about me
My OH does the same with his alarm and it drives me insane. It always wakes me (on the odd occasion he gets out of bed or the house before me) and he still sleeps on lol
Stewby, is there an ALDI near you? I've discovered it this month and if has saved me a fortune. They have most of the products in ASDA/Tesco but at much cheaper prices. Also, as there is pretty much only 1 type of each product you are never tempted to go for the more expensive brand/nicest packaging lolI reckon some of the products are the same as some well known brands - discovered tortilla chips and dip (about 60p each) and they appear to be Doritos in a different packet

See that just worries me more....I've always believed the best bit of the day is the time between 11pm and 4am. My last job I had 0730 and 0630 starts after 2130 finishes the night before, it was horrendous. Not so much for me, but my poor colleagues and customers all knew not to annoy me before lunchtime or they'd be likely to end up wearing their coffees. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Ah... My day shifts start at 07:00 but I have to get up at 05:30 and leave the house at 06:00. Well, I used to. From the first of October, I can get up at 07:00 and still be at work for 07:30. (but I will still be getting up earlier).
I can survive dayshifts on two or three hours, well, to be honest I have to cause my brain just won't switch off sometimes. Yet on a nightshift I can sleep for hours during the day with no problem. Isn't it funny how people's brains are wired differently.
The nearest shops to us are morrisons and tescimos (you can probably guess which one we use most often). The nearest aldi is about 12 miles away (roughly) so I don't know how money saving-y it would be to travel 24 miles for a shop.(this is my not sure face).
I have read on here (pretty sure it is on here) about stepping your products down so going from a massive brand to a less known brand and then stepping down to shops own brand so I am going to try that as I am pretty sure birdseye frozen peas is exactly the same as tescos frozen peas despite the fancy packaging.
Erm... I have a basic idea of what a snowball calculator is (although I have read lots of people mentioning it and it shows them their clearance date. Is it difficult to complete??).
I have found topcashback which I used to get a cheap book and some money back off our holiday to kos (£10.20). I have tried to do surveys but I am quite worried about having to declare my extra income. I was previously interested in doing mystery shopping but because of the stuff I read about declaring it to the taxman and stuff, I figured it probably wasn't worth it for all the work I would get living out in the sticks.
Really shouldn't go near topcashback sometimes. They are advertising expedia which makes my travel bug get all excited.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
