To me, Hollywood means the Oscars, film stars and that's it...
I can't understand having to hire a hall for a 10th birthday party either... if you want to save money then surely doing a pyjama type party at home would be far better and just as much fun.
At this rate, what will you do for 13th (first as a teenager), 16th, 18th and 21st... are you going to up the ante each time?
We always said 10 would be a big one. And the next big on is 18.
We did something big for her brothers 10th.
the Hollywood theme she came up with with her friends, Im thinking of seeing if I can make it look like they have a red carpet or something, was homing someone may have some creative ideas.0 -
You could look in Iceland for cheap party nibbles, you'll need to preheat them I guess but you could still serve them cold at the venue. I wouldn't cater for a full meal for that many children, just lay out some bits they can pick at.
Party bags don't matter but maybe some sweets as they leave.
Can you get a red carpet from anywhere, it would be fun for them to walk up into the venue, and someone there (your husband?) as a paparazzi photographer to take shots as they arrive, if anyone has a polaroid camera you could take shots and place them on a wall of fame for them to take home later?
I love the phot idea, I have a polaroid somewhere thank you x0 -
How about a couple of these at the entrance?

Maybe you could do jelly with something fizzy in it like vodka shots but without the vodka?
I love them thank you x0 -

Oh...just thought of something (!).
How about doing a home-made photobooth type of thing? You could buy cheap dress-up items, like fake moustaches, big hats, giant sunglasses...etc...and take the kids' pictures in turn, maybe with a polaroid camera if you can find one? That could be lots of fun!0 -
This would be fabby - popcorn bag free printable :-) - very hollywood themed. And popcorn that you pop yourself is not expensive.
