I am aiming for £100 from Ebay in Jan0
-
Thanks guys
I've listed a few things on ebay and had some sales too.
I've also photo'd around 200 items ready to go on whenever :T :T
Still got plenty more to go though.
If I want to raise £620 a month, I need to do roughly £150 a week  so will aim for 50 items a week. (Never going to happen :rotfl:)
LAM - I never knew you had a diary - off to hunt you down now"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Wow - good luck - but then you have always been really good with Ebay - it really drives me mad and its so disheartening when you pay so much on fees but I suppose at least you don't have to deal with haggling etc so from that point of view its quite painless.
Are you back at work now? cant remember.0 -

I've always made way more on ebay than I would on Facebook or a car boot sale. So that more than outweighs the fees, which are annoying, but do open out sales much more.
Back at work nowWill come up with more regular postings soon.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey jwil - how are you ? Hope it is not too bad for you being back at work now x
I am sure you'll put me to shame with your listings - i think i've got about 52/100 newly listed items on so a ways to go before the end of the month
Lam - that is a good target - i am going for volume of listings as i have listed alot of low value items and don't have anything too big / pricey to list now but i will have a scout around againIf i could get £100 though i would be very pleased

Hey DDFW
Well done on your listings! I'm not doing great with mine."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I'm fed up already being back at work
Time is so tight, and it's such hard work trying to be organised. I dropped my little man off first thing yesterday morning, and got home in time to put him to bed.
Despite spending a fortune on it recently, my car is playing up againSo it's booked in for a last chance next week. It's the third garage it will have been to. I REALLY can't afford a new car, but equally I can't be without one.
I'm trying to list on ebay at the moment, but really can't be bothered and have a million other things I need to do as well.
I've got IT problems at work, which are meaning I can't do certain things at the moment, which is very frustrating. I need to get that sorted before Thursday.
If I wasn't so bloody rubbish with money, I wouldn't have half these issues
I'm going to go off and have a good cry and then get back on with things.
Hopefully I'll be a bit more chirpy next time I'm on
Hope everyone is well otherwise."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks jwil - they are only listings though and most are low value - i've had 1 sale and a couple of things with bids on - hopefully they will pay up - i have had so many NPB's and its frustrating when that happens.
I've lifted out 4 more items to sell today - also considering selling a couple of my pricier things - i am not sure what my Mr will say to that though.

((hugs)) jwil - it is understandable how hard it is with you working all day - maybe it'll feel better as the days get longer and you make weekends really quality family time. I am just looking for something positive here hon xx Plus you can only do what you can do at work - it is frustrating when you need things to work properly but do what you can and accept some things are outside of your control. Hope it is sorted out for you and one less worry as well though x
Is there anything you can put in place that will help with organisation & therefore time issues ? Maybe thinking what its hard organising and focuing some time on that over the weekend - eg if its having to get tea together when you get in maybe batch cooking over the weekend - nice easy things in the slow cooker so that you can get maybe 4 different 8 portion meals together over the 2 days but which doesn't keep you in the kitchen all day as time with your little one is the priority. This way you have easy meals all frozen and ready for you.
Urgh and positive thoughts for the car - as you know i have been in the same place with mine and this one is looking the same despite a several hundred pound bill towards the end of last year
Please don't feel you have to be chirpy when you come on here - we all want to help you. If there's anything i can help with please let me know.
Bay of e hon - keep listing - as you say you get your best money from here and it all helps when it comes in and i find little bits of money coming in can perk me up as well as helping with the bills xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Thanks DDFW
I know you had as much trouble with your car.
Well I did as I said yesterday, then took a break from listing and did the other little jobs. I felt better for doing it. I did get a few bits on but they were only 99p items which I'm not sure will sell.
I'll try and do some more tomorrow.
The IT stuff at work is crucial as it is a piece of equipment that enables me to work from home, and this is essential to save that day's childcare fees. It's still not sorted but I have a workaround for tomorrow and there are a couple of options I'm going to try, so I'm not quite so stressed now.
I think it's just because it's the first week, and I'm still trying to get into routines that it's all overwhelming. When things go wrong, it's seeming much worse. I'm shattered too which doesn't help.
Once it all settles down I'm sure it will be fine.
I've got some ebay sales going out tonight so fingers crossed for a few ££s coming in."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
