We saw your message and would like to offer some help in resolving this. Are you able to e-mail customer.service@kwik-fit.com with your vehicle registration number please so we can look into this for you.
Kind regards,
Kwik Fit Customer Service Rep
no don't, they will know who you are and get their legal team onto you.
By all means contact customer services and tell them the problem you had. But don't tell them your username on here. You may have not done anything libellous here but they will probably want to strong arm you into taking the comment off.0 -
It always makes me wonder when a rep for any company says" we have just seen your thread"". I presume there is some software which alerts them when their name comes up as I would not think any staff should have the time to "just see" a thread.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes, large companies scan the web for basic keywords like "kwikfit" etc.
For example if you complain on twitter, you'll get a DM from them within minutes.0 -
There are web bots which trawl the web and notify car parking companies when their names are mentioned. They have to sign up to this service.0

MOT's cost £210 for 100 slots (£2.10 each) for every station, calibration of emissions machine about £180 every time. rollers, ramps all need servicing & calibrating, wages of tester & maybe an assistant all mounts up, so £35 per test, quite a few needed to just cover costs.
Who cares.
You can bet your !!!! margins and setup fees for an MOT station, usually on an industrial estate, are significantly lower than that of say a clothes chain leasing high street premises easily costing hundreds of thousands of pounds just in rents and rates.
Same with coffee shops who sell coffee for a couple of quid.
And in fact most commercially viable business' out there.0 -

Exactly, every business has start up and on going costs.
Also didn't know that MOT stations had to buy MOTs in blocks of 100 upfront. I thought they just paid per MOT they carried out.0 -
They wouldnt tell anyone that their shock absorbers are knackered when there isnt a thing wrong with them would they?????
Lol the KF Bolton branch did that to me over 25 years ago. Took my company car in for new tyres (needed) and got a phone call 'all your shock absorbers are leaking sir'. 'No probs' I said 'I'm only next door, I'll be straight round and check it out'. Cue spluttering at the end of the phone. Went round and the only oil in evidence appeared to be some hastily applied to look like a leak. I told them I'd leave it and have it checked by my local main dealer at the service that was due soon.
Guess what, I asked the main dealer to check the shocks. They are all fine was their response.
Never used KF since0 -

Ive had main dealers try to rob me/the firm on services. Massive damage to the clutch diagnosed by driving from the service parking to the service bay-80 to 100metres travelled. Leaking rad etc etc. All these parts were fine. Everyone migbt try to generate business but a mot for 50 quid is reasonable. Fuel cleaner for twenty is higher end but in context reasonable. Being told you cant drive ya motor away cos kwikfit said so is unreasonable. And anyone with savy would would answer that with "or what?"0 -

Yes you do. You then send them a detailed response, with photos, of the lies and deceit perpetrated by the Kwik Fit branch in question and they completely ignore you.0
