we use these roll up bags to reduce packing space, put each persons stuff into individual bags.

there was an offer code for bogof (enter 12826) but I don;t know if itsa still valid0 -
I think most things have been covered - Tent, air-bed, lights, duvet/ maggot bag, carriers, etc. Pitching near toilets/ washing place is convenient, but it can also be noisier as people are always walking past your tent. Quiet spot near hedge.....

Watch out for camp site pricing, some charge per pitch, some per person, and you will be better with the latter. You'll have great fun, and when you get back home, your bed will feel incredibly comfortable!0 -
We always take coffee, sugar & milk sachet's picked up from various places in the lead up to our trip away - saves having a big jar of coffee etc.
don't forget your washing up liquid/dish cloth (sorry scanned the thread so may already be mentioned)
Also make sure you shut the zip from bottom to top so LO can not open it in the morning if you are not awake!
Have a great time.

Have been looking around thinking about extra bits i need, will i need a windbreak???0

Will you need to break wind?:rotfl:
To me, it's just another non-essential thing to carry, but some people like them for privacy and to mark out their 'territory'.0 -
Yes I agree. That was me a few years ago. I Had a car full of camping junk I had aquired over the years. Fridge, lights, hook ups, 6 berth tent, 2 tables, cooker , tv, fan ( in case too hot ) heater( in case too cold) . I think I had 2 windbreaks as well .
By the time I had packed the car up, got ther and put it all up I was ready for bed .
Nowadays I have small inflatable tent, BBQ, 2 chairs, and one bag that bits and pieces fit in . It all stays in the car boot and can set up camp in 15 minutes... and back on topic - no wind break. On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
Have read this avidly today. Hubby persuaded me to buy a tent a couple of months ago (my only experiences [BAD] of camping were going to Wales when they were rounding contaminated sheep up for slaughter and being told not to drink the fresh-stream water [after chernobyl in ?'86] and in the lake district when one of our party [St John Ambulance] broke her leg and we had to carry her down a bloomin mountain).
That said, we're looking at camping as options for mini breaks (one nighters), so I'll keep looking. Love the disposable BBQ idea - will definitely use that one. Hope you enjoy your trip Angie.DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt

The bestest thing I ever bought for camping was my B&Q BBQ.
It folds down , a bit like an ironing board. When up its a full size BBQ. I found the disposable ones not that good as at wrong height and burnt the grass.
I think they are about £18 at BandQ. Buy one today .
Note to Dylanwing...just got your gag ( 2 days later ) LOL
