Many shops have pre-set weights for food items and in the case of McDs drinks a pre-determined amount which doesn't actually see it filled to the brim. This is what you are buying. So if you order a medium and they put it in a large cup, doesn't entitle you to a full large cup - just equivalent to a medium.

Particularly in the case of coffee shops i'm all up for asking it to be filled to the top and making sure my chip carton hasn't been short changed - but seems to me you take it to far with too high expectations.

If you don't like it, drink and eat at home.
  • Coffee cups filled to the brim are inviting PI claims for people with burned hands!

  • Do you do the same in the pub if your wine glass isn't filled to the brim? Coffee cups are probably the same; you pay for an *ml serving and the cup is a bit bigger so it doesn't have to be filled to the brim.

I wonder what the value of 20ml of foamed milk is?

Or was it an Americano and you weren't getting all the water you'd paid for?
