Our Primark used to be like a jumble sale with queues and clothes on the floor but since they moved into the refurbished littlewoods it's fantastic, clean, light and on four floors. Just perfect for my holiday shopping for going to Benidorm which will no doubt be wall to wall primark.
Are you from Darlington too Mrs T?...

No Bella, I'm privileged to live in the oil capital of Europe (or it was before Shell decided to pack up last week) but the cost of living is high and I've got three kids so Primark is very welcome.

Just been in the new Primark in Merry Hill. I was looking for jeans for my 5 year old daughter. The ones I picked up were £5, when I took them to the till they were only £2. So I think a lot of their stuff is not actually marked down, which is a bit annoying.

Anybody been to the metrocentre or newcastle primark? I'm after some stuff but its bedlam at the one in newcastle, people go mad when there is a sale on and I dont fancy going if theres not much there. The metrocentre on the other hand is always empty but I have to get two buses and likewise I dont want to make the effort if all there is left is rubbish in size 8's!
  • I love PRIMARK! I get so excited every time I go! Theres not 1 in my town but I'm always arranging days out so I can get 2 my nearest. Got 6 packs of 2 pairs of socks at 50p each! Fantastic for a messy girl who can never find a matching pair! Everything I own is Primark, I refuse to spend on stupid high prices in Next etc (except 4 bras which dont go big enough!) It might be cheap but I always spend £50+ coz I'm a shopperholic.
I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!
  • people can go spending mad in primark. But I Only get soemthing in there now and then when I see something really nice. Primark is cheap and as a result things can last a very short time / look crap after one wash. Not complaining just saying i prefer something that feels comfortable not like paper / (if your lucky) card
    Merry Christmas MSE!

I love primark and have never had a problem with any clothes bought from there (and I have bought a lot, having 3 kids to buy for)!!!! I don't think they look any different on to anything bought from the more expensive shops and they wash and iron up lovely. I do agree that sometimes it can be a bit manic in their stores but my local one is generally tidy and always have lots of stuff on sale. :j

I wonder if all the children who manufacture the clothes are so happy with the bargains they produce.
I have bought from there before but to be honest the quality is generally !!!! and to be honest the phrase 'buy cheap buy twice' springs to mind. I've had the odd good bit, but a lot of it really is naff and the mentality of people who shop there is unbeleivable. Don't get me wrong, I am very skint myself, but so disheartened with buying stuff and it falling apart/going out of shape/fading. And if they can sell it so cheap, what are they paying the people who make it? Makes me feel quite funny so I try to buy elsewhere.
:starmod: I am not that savage :heartpuls But I am a Vixen :staradmin
