You don't want a 30 year old do you? I might be leaving home rather rapidly by the end of the week.......:o

    Afternoon, newbie here... :hello:

I am a debt free wannabe with an addiction to tea and cake.
    Can I join in please?

I can provide oranges and strawberries (home grown strawberries!).

Glad the tadpoles are doing well - what are you keeping them in? We used to keep ours in an old goldfish bowl, with a couple of big stones piled up at one side so that when they do turn into frogs, they can get out and hop off to their new life!

Yeah, in an old goldfish bowl with a couple of stones piled up at one side. Great minds think alike. ;)
I have taken the bowl outside today. It had been in DD's bedroom up to now, but if the toadlet hops out of the bowl in there we would never find it again.

Those of you who were having afternoon tea with us during the half-term holiday will know that we went fishing for tadpoles. What fabulous entertainment they have turned out to be. We have spent hours watching them. It is amazing how they suddenly change. When we went to bed the other night 6 out of the 7 tadpoles had teeny back legs. Then the following morning one had front legs too. Since yesterday morning the one with 4 legs has lost its tail and looks like a mini toad.
Did you know tadpoles are money saving? We haven't been out paying for entertainment since we got them. We can't wait to get home to see how they have grown!

Aww, I remember catching tadpoles when I was little, they were great fun! I seem to remember that not long after the legs stage they start jumping... :rotfl:

Just popping in as I'm in the middle of a nasty month end reconciliation thingy at work, other than that having a good day - there's only two of us in the office and it's really chilled out :)

ps Anyone seen LJ's positive thread - have I just missed it?

We are only getting teeny ones one at a time so they are sparse but so juicy.

I should update my signature with my debts and goals.
We are just starting to get on top of things regarding debt, we've had trouble paying bills lately but that is getting on track so hopefully by the end of July we will be well on our way to actually paying things off for a change.

  • Can you imagine a toadlet escaping all over a bedroom....I have problems finding DS (age 2) let alone a toadlet!

The tea was luverly.....makes a change from the wine I was drinking ON MY OWN last night (DFW - homemade ages ago I hasten to add) as OH decided on our Wedding Anniversary (8 years....how he heck did tht happen!!?) to go to the pub with his friedn to celebrate his (friend's) birthday.

Needless to say, I was a bit livid when he got back, but he hadn't spent anythng (as didn't take anything with him to spend)

    Ho hum

    Purps xx

I guess you've never had a 17 year old stay with you before.
Shall we tell you scarey teenager stories? Or do you prefer to be surprised? ;)
