Used car from dealer issue, can we insist on a fix?

Have just realised I paid the deposit on Credit Card 'just in case'.....

plot thickens...
Apparently hidden away in the log book which we received after we'd purchased the car was a small invoice for works done to an accident repair on the passenger side, right by the wheel. One of my first questions to them was "has it been involved in any accidents?" "No" was the answer.
Whats the betting the wheel in question is that side? Full report time I think.
Further update.
We have spoken to the RAC as I realised we have legal cover. They have advised as visidigi says above to get something from them confirming the roadworthiness of the vehicle before we take it in the morning. The RAC have advised that moving the wheel to the back will not solve the problem anyway and the judder will still be present in some form.
Current plan is to collect the car then draft a letter giving them 7 days to arrange for the wheel to be fully repaired as well as the other faults, otherwise we shall be rejecting the car and pursuing the costs via our credit card.0 -
I'd be rejecting the car outright - not declaring an accident (in fact blatantly lying about it) is grounds for declaring the contract void. You'd also be able to sue them for any costs/losses you've incurred due to their breach.
By the way - absolutely get any courtesy car charges refunded.0 -
they might not have known about the accident if it didn't go through insurance , i guess they did a hpi check and came back clear ? do you have a copy ?0

Sorry but they knew. I would be outright rejecting - you asked, they lied - and to be honest, you have to admit, if they MOT'd that in house I would be asking serious questions of the quality of their certification.0 -

Ahh now here is the thing, one previous owner.... Arnold Clark finance.
The bump is seemingly minor, but I suspect that's what has caused the wheel buckle. I'll update tomorrow when he's been in.0 -
I may be doing a Hilary Clinton (misremembering), but aren't sellers supposed to declare information such as this - regardless of whether they are asked?
(I ask this, as I suspect they may deny having said the vehicle had never been in an accident. So instead of a "he said, she said" situation, they'd be in the wrong anyway).0 -
Update..... Firstly, it's not the passenger side so has nothing to do with the wing repair. Bit of a red herring there, I'm sorry.
Got to the garage where we rejected the car. Much shock on the faces of the staff and the service manager then backtracks and explains that its not the alloy, it's the tyre and they will replace that asap. Giving it a chance DH gets in the car and the first thing he notes is the mileage is exactly the same as it was when the car was dropped off - how do they know its sorted? They haven't driven it!
Giving them the benefit of the doubt he pulls on to the motorway where by now the judder is worse than it ever was and obviously coming from the rear wheel. He gets to the next junction and goes back, hands reception the keys and tells them he's done with the whole thing.
Manager then appears and admits now that actually they now have a drive shaft on order.
Many more apologies ensue, a promise to replace the wheel and tyre, sort the drive shaft and DPF and no charge for the courtesy car. OH has accepted this as the 'last chance'. Should it return again with issues it will be rejected.0 -
????????????????????????????????Giving them the benefit of the doubt"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170
