UncleZen - you really should appreciate Hovite's offer, very, very few get offers like this. It is way and beyond. Work with him, this is absolute gold dust for you and your Mum.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Well despite looking in detail last night, I couldnt find this post, it seemed to have vanished.
Mums going to speak to the manager today. TBH it will probably be a waste of time. She sounds reluctant to appeal, because of the fear of paying the full amount if she looses. Despite the fact that a £70 fine for 11 mins overstay is punitive and should be the main point of the appeal.
I'll update you when I hear more about the conversation with the manager.

When she does speak to the manager, make sure she doesn't call it a "fine". It's not, it's just an invoice.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
