Actually it is rather 'On Topic' as Elizabeth is criticising your Mum's actions on Aldi FB - and we're fighting your Mum's corner here and there!
That's what goes
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Elizabeth is saying on Facebook that your mother deserves this parking charge and should pay up. This woman is a very loyal supporter of parking Eye and Aldi and they can do no wrong in here eyes. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Well, how am I to tell that Elizabeth is the originator of post 2?
The advice seemed sensible.
Get the store to request PE to cancel.
Something about a POPLA code whatever that is.
The slagging off, of PE.
I still havent really got what I came for - concise steps on how to cancel the payment.
I'm no clearer now that I was when I posted. Which goes back to my original point of the whole process being confusing and overwhelming.0 -

She isn't! The originator's name is at the side of the post - Hovite!
Elizabeth isn't on this forum, but she is on Aldi FB and is not being particularly nice about your Mum. To repeat myself, this forum is responding to her on Aldi FB on behalf of your Mum.
Post #2 (Hovite's advice), coupled with post #6 (my supporting advice) will start the process of getting things sorted for your Mum. But Coupon-mad can add the rapier paragraph to any letter you will be sending.
But you do seem to give the impression that somehow this should be easy, press a few buttons on the keyboard and hey presto it's all done and dusted. It isn't.
The process can be confusing but the way to start to understand it is to do what all of us regulars did when first faced with the 'process' - we read the most recent forum threads day after day to the point we were able to sort out our problems for ourselves, or with a bit of experienced advice from the forum.
We're giving that advice to you today; you have to work with us, we can't do it all for you

You really don't get it.
These people are helping you. Hovite is putting a Facebook entry up to try to get Aldi to cancel your ticket and this Elizabeth is responding that your mum should pay. Elizabeth is just another Aldi shopper or a stooge.
Your tone is not likely to encourage help from Forum members.
You want a concise way to deal with this outside Facebook.
1. Appeal to the PPC Parking Eye asking for ticket to be cancelled or a POPLA code
2. They turn you down, sending you a POPLA code
3. You look at the various points that have won at POPLA (see POPLA DECISIONS sticky thread)
4. You use these same appeal points and appeal to POPLA
That's the concise version. For more detailed info, just read any thread with more than 8 posts on it and you will get the hang of it.
You may get some direct help from regulars if you show them a modicum of courtesy and respect.0 -
OIC, thanks for clearing that up. She really needs to get a life by the sound of it. I'll talk to my mum later about the options.
Im a novice at this as well, it took me a while to work out that FB was Facebook

I'll repeat my offer in post #2 - given your Mum is elderly and assuming YOU appeal to Parking Eye - I'll write the appeal for POPLA for you / your Mum. I'm not sure what is so difficult to understand about the advice you've been given so far ?0

            OK.
Have you got some dates for us?
Date of contravention?
Was there a windscreen ticket?
Have you received the notice to keeper through post and if so, what date.
Take a look here http://www.britishparking.co.uk/write/Documents/AOS/AOS_CoP_June_2013_update.pdf Jumpo down to section 13 headed "Grace".
Your appeal to Parking Eye will be on the grounds that your Mum is 80 and was a genuine shopper. You believe that the BPA section on Grace periods would apply to any one, but even more so for an 80-year old who is not as mobile.
Furthermore on some of their other managed sites they allow grace periods of 15 minutes, so surely 11 minutes is well within that.0
