Hi I'm in this week too
Thanks for the threads
Gosh pigpen what a lovely family you have
I didn't plan to do any housework this weekend as its the weekend!
But discovered one of the new kittens has been weeing on my bedroom carpet so spent ages scrubbing away at it before realising it's gone through to the wood
So nothing for it but to cut out the offending bit of carpet completely and scrub the floor. Tomorrow when it's dry I'll put lots of bicarb on it to try and neutralise the last bit of smell.
Took said kitten to vet she said nowt wrong with him which is good but clean up an area 3 times the size that's dirty cos they can still smell it otherwise
These kittens are wrecking the house as fast as I get bits of it sorted out!
So new bedroom carpet added to my Toots list.
Sigh.
I wouldn't bother with replacing the carpet .. it won't smell in a few days after it is dry .. I'd put a litter tray in the wet corner.. it is recommended you have a tray for each cat as they don't like to share toilets! Some just don't like to use them.. I have one would only ever use the pink cat litter... great.. at least she used the tray.. BUT... she has white feet which were permanently pink!

Good to know, thanks. I hate the thought of the house smelling of cat - you could ask why I have 4 I suppose :rotfl:

Just checking in, our living room has a partly re-plastered ceiling and the man who knows about these things is coming tomorrow evening to do a bit more. So most of the living room furniture is in the kitchen/diner which is a nightmare! Wont be doing anything in the living room tomorrow but have plenty of other things to keep me busy.
Pigpen, lovely photos. Must be a really party when you all get together! Right, off to get a few things ready for tomorrow then bed.0 -
I'm in for next week too. Am noticing a massive difference in the house. It's getting easier and faster to keep clean. We've got rid of bags and bags of rubbish with the bedroom swap. MiL couldn't believe how large our landing is earlier. That's cause it's had building stuff dotted through it for the last 8 years!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

Thanks for the thread. Natty
I'm in this week but working on minimal flying. I'm doing a big recanvass of my territory for work and ATM that looks like preparing 200-240 books, unfortunately I've run out of already stamped order forms etc so I've got all those and the newsletters to do as well which are then addressedThen my delivery arrives Wednesday so thats my normal work as well so I'm looking at a very busy week ahead.
Monday I have the dentists, Thurs DD finishes at lunch time (Year 6 open evening apparently) and then has INSET Friday. I'm hoping the weather improves as I need to get out in the yard and weed desperately. I didn't notice until today just how big the weeds between the pavingslabs had got until they were swaying in the wind earlier
I'm setting myself a challenge of exercising for 10-60min each day this week. How busy I am meant to be that day will dictate which 'routine' I doI also need to up my water intake to 8 glasses a day. I might just get the blackcurrent cordial out and have that warm if this weather keeps up, instead of filling up with coffee all the time.

Thank you for the list, Natty, and Dusty for last week's.
I love the pictures, pigpen!
I will have to follow my own lists again this week. Today I have painted the bathroom and the bits in the dining room round the front door and window - this latter after DH had an enormous strop because I pointed out the edges that he'd missed. He took himself off for a walk in the pouring rain but finished the room (the easy bits!!!) when he came back.
We are out all day tomorrow for his horse piddle appointment back in our former area, but we're also meeting up with friends for lunchOur current tradesman will be levelling the solid floor in the DR while we're out of the way. Mustn't forget to come in via the side door when we get home
Hope everyone has a good week. Hugs, spoons and sticks on offer - please help yourselves as and when.0 -
Nope. Total blank. *multi-quote missing/searching vibes*
Recipes. Hmm. We're not supposed to type them in, but I've no idea where I found this one (and I'm a stickler for referencing stuff):
Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
Toss in a bowl. Mix. Shove in the oven. Bake at 175 for 9 minutes.
NB I took this as being a normal recipe and dropped the temp by 20 degrees for a fan oven, only to discover they were undercooked. I'd guess the temp and timing are for a fan oven as they are. They are very, very sweet. I think next time I'd cut down on the sugar a bit, but if anyone thinks that means the recipe needs rebalancing, please post and let me know.
The Ginger Cookies - that recipe I found on line and when I find the link I'll post it. They are absolutely wonderful, made with crystalised ginger and ginger powder, don't taste a bit like commerical ginger biscuits and are the only bix I eat whether I'm hungry or not.
I also only ever make this kind of stuff with butter. When I find a use for chemical marg I'll use it, but in the meantime I don't.Better is good enough.0
