Kaz, sorry to hear you're not sleeping have you tried any relaxation tapes or techniques? You can download some online for free normally.

Just flown all round the bathroom on my way out the door, and put a load of towels on :) The house is looking much better already this week as my enthusiasm appears to have returned (that and OH complained this morning which is sooo not s3xy when he's dad-mode)

    Afternoon all

Been out with a friend to Ik£a and other shops. Got just the two items I had gone for and picked up a couple of bits for the boys elsewhere.

Washing looks dry and sky looks black so I'll get it in, put jacket pots in the AGA and then Washing up whilst DS3 has his hair cut.

Mrs Dog story update. Some of you may remember that I posted a few weeks ago about an absolutely horrendous vet's bill and what I should do about it. The rehoming officer from the charity has just phoned to say that their vets have agreed that they should have gone further with the examinations (and possibly even treatment) and it has been agreed to give me a large lump of money to cover the excessive costs. I'm absolutely stunned and very grateful.

Fortunately for me, so I don't feel too guilty about it, I may have something I can do for them in return. Over the past three years I've been working on a range of greetings cards which are now on sale in a local gallery, and in the process I've had some trial print runs of several designs, including nearly about 900 Christmas cards. They are going to use them as fundraisers and that means I can also degibble a tiny corner of the crowded attic. I'm really chuffed about today.

And I have three sparkly jars of Windfall Pear Chutney.
    Better is good enough.

Finally, the washing on the line is nearly dry. It's been out since before 10 this morning but been raining on and off all day. Between 3-4 it finally stopped raining and was windy enough to get it dry enough to fetch in. Creel emptied and reloaded. Clothes put away. Washing and cats brought down.
    2 more Christmas pressies decluttered.

    Uniform Washer
Oh my word.... Well I am glad I sat down today to uni work!! I thought there were only a couple of bits, but blimey!! They are far bigger tasks than I thought they were  I am very relieved I know this now, instead of figuring it out the day before they were due :D

Still, lots of work done, even if there is still lots of do...

WM has been emptied, hung up, refilled and emptied again.
Havent done a lot else to be honest...

I did take some sausages out of the freezer to defrost and was planning Sausage Casserole for DS, some of which would be left for the freezer next week, but he has just come home and informed me I promised him Macaroni Cheese!!

I have no recollection of this!! We only had Mac n Cheese on Sunday!! But hes told me exactly what I said and it sounds like words I would say... it did ring a tiny bell in the back of my head, and have a vague recollection I answered him while doing the stars :rotfl: That will serve me right for not paying attention to what I am agreeing to...

So Mac N Cheese (again) and sausages are off to the fridge before being SC'd tomorrow. Off to hang up the wet stuff...

For some reason I had it in my head that if you left washing on the line and it rained that the washing would spoil...maybe this was instilled by my mother...I am assuming I am misinformed though?

    Windfall Pear Chutney, as requested:
    http://nicky-greenmagic.blogspot.co.uk/2008/12/windfall-pears.html

Reading Nicki's blogpost, it would seem she invented this recipe. I'm going to have a good old read of her blog later when I've done some more deck clearing here.
