I'm on crutches at the moment aswell, on Week 11 and counting!!

I'd second the person who said you might want to pad your hand part of the crutches, mine have sheepskin pads which help a lot.

My crutches seem to spend as much of their time as possible throwing themselves on the floor, as they're not the easiest things to prop up on their own when not in use, so if you do decide to paint them, make sure the finish is fairly durable!

    Hope your Op goes well.

Fancy swopping, i'm just celebrating 11 yrs on crutches!! I get as far as putting tinsel round mine for xmas, did try stickers but they wear off and are a bug bearer to get the sticky off. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Even for six weeks you should customise them a bit. Leashes so you can pick them up if you drop one accidentally, for example.
*Definitely* pad the handles, as well as getting cycling or weightlifting fingerless gloves & mittens over them in the cold.
Play with electrical tape to make your crutches unique?
Snaffle the high vis stickers they encourage children to put on schoolbags?
    Eye the battery-powered Halloween decorations?...
  • You can get funky coloured crutches in allsorts of bright and bold colours (google is your friend)
Spelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...

Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.
