Crutches diy

Hello
I have an op next week and instead of feeling down about it I decided to give myself a project so I can see the positive. Lol!
I have my own crutches, I know how I am decorating the aluminium, but I want to paint the grey rubber cuff/handle. What type of paint is best? I was thinking spray paint but will be gutted if I wear a light top and end up with black paint rubbed off on it!!
Any ideas ?
Apologies if this in the wrong section
Thankyou :-)

Rubber and handles are 2 things I would not paint. The flexibility and the constant handling would see paint off quickly. Use your artistic talents to incorporate the rubber handles in their natural colours. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

After a few years whether permanantly or on and off with walking aids people some people feel differently about the aesthetics.0 -
Dan-dan you may very well feel that way. But I certainly don't. :-)
My op is soon so I'm nice and prepared.
Any idea on anything I can do to the grey, thanks for the tip. I think you're right about paint.0 -
How about stickers?Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
Aren't the rubber bits rubber to provide grip?.................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Yes but they get very sore. There's plenty of devices out there to make them less sore which I plan on using.0

How about using coloured heatshrink sleeving?
Or clear heatshrink sleeving that covers fancy ribbons, silver\gold\etc and some stars to boot.
Or get new grips from a bike shop, they must do some snazzy ones - even stick some tassles on the end.
Take the rubber bit off, drill a hole in the end and feed ribbon through & tie a know then pull back, refit handle.
Get some fur and cover the whole thing, or string and plait it around it all.
Go for it0 -
Where do I buy heat shrink ?
Thankyou0 -
