Can you have more than one Barclays Card

I already have barclaycard initial which i am using from 4 years and paying in full and today i got a application form in a letter saying apply for a creditcard.... (ONE card... Two great reason to get it).

19.9% APR

Wondering if you can have 2 cards at the same time.

Yes you can apply & have 2 Barclaycards at the same time but the conditions are it will have to be a Mastercard & Visa, you can't have 2 BC Visa's or 2 BC Mastercards unless at the time one of your old credit cards was bought by BC with the likes of EGG card etc.

I have a BC Visa & Mastercard.

Barclaycard aren't currently offering any new Mastercard branded cards. They've had them at various times in the past, but not at the moment, so does this mean that you cannot apply for an additional Barclaycard now if you've already got a Barclaycard Visa card?

You can hold two barclaycards but they obviously need to be of a different category. I.e., you can't hold two initials, and i think you cant hold the cashback card as well as the freedom rewards - you must only choose one. The MC/Visa advice seems to have come straight out of a Christmas cracker so ignore that.

barcalycard told my themselves that you can have 2 barclaycards however one needs to be mastercard and one needs to be visa,, there is no mastercards on the website and you have to ring up to apply if you wish to have a 2nd Barclaycard.

However if you want a partner card such as Hilton's HHonor card, you've got to apply online as I was told two days ago by a Barclaycard CS rep when I phoned to enquire about something else then thought I'd ask as I've phoned up already :j

Would you like to receive the secure message I got from the head of BC operations regarding applying for their Visa & Mastercard or has BC sent me the inside of a Xmas cracker or even still yourself Maestro are carrying on with your very unreliable advice as usual...

I have the Initial Visa and 2 months ago sucessfully got the freedom reward card, both are visa cards
