Is the mistype of "now" as "not" a typo then or do you also need beating by a lettuce?

If I get bad service in a shop I just don't use it again.

The OP will not be using it again as she has been banned :D

And I think anyone who doesn't know the difference between loose and lose should be slapped with a reduced priced lettuce.

If you live in Kent though there is a village called Loose but pronounced lose. All sorts of giggles to be had by mis-pronouncing Loose Womens' Institute, Loose Bowls Club and Loose Guides. ;)

I would still challenge it, do you still have the receipt? Supermarkets still use the same barcode for the product you are buying for managing stock levels, it is only the price that they amend, so when it goes through the till it should say "pork Loin" £x.xxp. If you did swap the salad label over it would be registered a salad at £x.xxp.

Some supermarket receipts do not have the product name on the receipt when it is a reduced item, depends on the EPOS config for the receipts but can sometimes just say "Reduced Item £x.xxp"

I would go back with your receipt with the transaction number as this will list the products bought and their price or alternatively provide this to waitrose when they contact you as proof the item was a pork loin for X amount and not a salad.

The way I read it it does say salad on the receipt and that is what he is being accused of so how would showing them the receipt prove it was Pork?

That's how I read the post too
  • have had a full apology from the store manager regarding the issue. Admitted that it may have been an error by staff in putting the wrong sticker to the wrong item in the first instance. I have been "unbanned" from the store but will be voluntarily banning myself in any case. for those who say I go in to buy only reduced price stuff- unfortunately I didn't make it clear enough but I do go in to buy full priced items, sometimes multibuy offers and especially hard to find ingredients at wildly marked up prices. in any case, M&S down the road has an equal selection. So that's where I'm going from now on. and of course, tesco, as my name suggests

good you got an apology from store manager, but i would of been asking for a public apology by the store manager and staff member in front of a packed store as thats how they accused you

Apologies, I did misread, was a late night last night
  • My man complained a few months ago after being followed around the entire store, but never actually stopped, by the security guard.
It took a while for Waitrose to get back to him (over a month) but they sent him a £10 gift card by way of apology/appeasement.
It seems that Waitrose security guards are aggressively d*ckish.

    :starmod:you're awesome.. act like it:starmod:
