The probelm is that I dont hear coming calls,text messages. I turned of the internet. Can I set these notifications without connecting to internet?
You shouldn't need an internet connection as those notifications just relate to phone features - Unread SMS, Missed Call, Incoming Call, Incoming SMS and Alarm. I use the SP without cellular data quite often and it works fine as a phone.
You may have to go into Settings-Sound-Volumes and ensure that the volume is loud enough for you.
I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
