Just got back from a quick trip to the lottie, piacked another 3lbs of strawberries and loads more to come...........we will be having strawberries and cream for tea tonight, will take some to my friend tomorrow and also for DD,DGD & DGS we are going there for tea tomorrow.
The council workmen were working when we got there, we got them to cut down the grass and brambles on the next plot that were overhanging our path, brill!!!!!!!!!!! OH put in some borlotti beans, we are growing some drying beans this year, I use a lot of beans during the winter to add to soups and stews, helps to bulk up the protein content.
Spag bol for supper is in the Romuska, will put some in the freezer....... am going to do the garlic bread in the romuska, will reheat the bol whilst I am cooking the spaghetti on the top of the stove, save me putting the oven on.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Well the DDog & I have just been to run some errands on my bike. It hasnt been out of the garage since last summer so it had a flat tyre at the frontwent over to the garage at Tescos and I couldnt get it to inflate so 1 guy used the inflater thingy on his vehicle and said it was alright so I gave it another go. Still couldnt get it to inflate so another man eventually came to my rescue  well there was quite a queue forming for the tyre inflator so they would have had a long wait if they had left me to do it. Im sorry but there are some things that only a man can do
Went to Tescos for a few bits and then off to the Doctors to collect a letter and it started to rain  it has been raining on and off all day but we got soaked - got back home looking like 2 drowned rats.
So a nice cup of tea and a blow of the hairdryer later we both look like poodles now  my hair has gone all frizzy with the rain and the dogs has just stuck out on end :rotfl: DDog is now curled up fast asleep - bless.
Havent got much done today but as usual dont seem to have stopped
Hope everybody is having a good day - OOPS:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -

Yeheyyy it got here quite impressed even more so with size as 1st box was half price, provided it keeps for the time needed there is more than enough till next week have a huge amount of apples now, few things ive never really cooked/eaten so will have to get some ideas for you os'sif i knew how to add a photo i would put one in here
next box is ordered for 2 weeks time but may drop down to the small box weekly purely for the variety and keeping it fridge wise otherwise i will still be shopping weekly for staples like carrots and potaoes, admittedly its a non organice scheme but the quality is better than anything ive bought from the market and ice saved my bus fare i qualify for fruit/veg/milk tokens (healthy start) but dont claim for again reasons it would cost me as much in bus fare as i get in vouchers
ahh sorry im rambleing on now, if it can be explained to me how to add a picture i will share contents of my veg/salad and fruit box with you allDFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010

Afternoon everyone
I have only just got in & have to rush out again any minute, a friend went to ikea on Saturady filled her hubby's car up with bedroom furniture & is now stuck, she got some of it out the car & into the house, but can't get it upstairs, the rest of it she can't even get out the car, her hubby is away till Friday, but need the car empty when he does get back, so my hubby & I are going over to help her out. I have every sympathy with her though, I'm impatient too & it's the sort of thing I'd do, lol.
I've been baking most weeks & taking stuff into work (otherwise I'd eat it all myself) so one of my workmates bought me a book called The cookie & buiscuit bible, as a thank you, wasn't that kind!
I was also asked today if I could make a chocolate fudge cake for someones birthday on Friday, so that will keep me occupied, I'll cook it tomorrow so it's nice & fresh for Friday. Thumper & Ogden are waiting to be fed as are next doors cats, so I better go.
Hugs to all
Hester

Afternoon :hello:
Still in the office but that's cos I've been buying a new computer :j :j :j :j :j
I am not going to tell you how much it cost cos it's a bit scary... but the money is there for it, and it's not nearly as much as the previous one (the last one was a 4-figure sum  and I never even used half the functionality - and of course it's gone kaput just after the 3-year service plan expired  )
So hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll be back on full posting power again when I'm at home!
I got a free lunch today, anyway - the company which caters our meetings sent one of tomorrow's orders by accident, so there were loads of yummy free sarnies  and I'll have made £10 (£7.80 after tax) today on my mystery shopping.
Off home now to watch the third heat of Cardiff Singer of the World on BBC4:)
Love to all

Just dropped on to answer a question from Jamie - Key Stage 2 SATs results won't be in just yet. They must be back in schools by 11th July and usually are in a few days before the deadline. Sorry!Resolution:

Hello folks,
Congrats to those winning, selling stuff, getting charges back etc, and hugs to those not.
I've kept up reading but haven't posted for a couple of days as my motivation is just....eeeuugh.....due to lack of sleep I think! Up at 2:30 for bathroom, kitten threw up at 3:30, took him to spare room so we wouldn't bother OH who needed to be up at 5. Kitten very boucy and jumping to bite my nose whilst I was trying to sleep on small chaise longue, head at a slant, mouth open so definately got cloth-mouth. Oh yes and I've got a sore shoulder from scrunched up position.
Went back to bed after sleepy OH left for work - kitten threw up on clean dressing gown at 6, got a little sleep until scaffolding went up next door so decorator could paint dormer. Should have just given up!
Day didn't get much better. Went to allotment to plant stuff - neighbour had fire going that was blowing my way so cloth-mouth turned into smokey-cloth-mouth. This was after going down yesterday to water stuff in greenhouse to find the other neighbour was burning leylandii and the ash was snowing over my greenhouse so it wasn't safe to stay!
Then I tripped over a bunch of slate OH had moved into a really stupid position - at the outer corner of the greenhouse. Couldn't save myself and landed flat on my back with a major thump, arm grazed, and head thankfully through the open greenhouse door, not through the panes of glass on either side. Back now aches to go with sore shoulder! So p'd off at bleepin' OH for leaving slate there. It could have been worse - if I had knocked myself out I might not have been found for a while since the allotments are quite remote - and mine is at the back of them right by a field that only gets visited once every blue moon. Plus I didn't get bitten by anything this time!
Can I just have a Do-Over for the whole of June please? :rotfl:
On a positive note, the kitten is snuggled up on the same chair right by Echo-cat. Probably helped that he snuck up there whilst she was half-asleep but no ructions yet, so positive outlook ahead I think :j Also helped that he didn't try to suckle her! :rotfl:
OH not home tonight, so I'm going to go change all the bedding, and make the bed fresh like a hotel bed. Then I'll get a darn good book and have a nice long bubble bath, and early to bed. Wish me luck sleeping!0 -

Ooooh! FBThree. That's one of my fave treats too. Wish DH had to go somewhere!:o Unfortunately it's usually me who has to go away for work.
Well, work happened today. Don't know what happened but 3 separate people told me I looked nice today. Not something that's usually commented on in our office (just not that kind of place, full of former programmers!) Was feeling good - then realised that, yep, the last few weeks I've been just not bothering with make up or anything. This is just not like me and I wasn't anything special today, just looked back to normal. Ho hum. :rotfl:
Need to clean the kitchen tonight. Then settle down with my knitting. Off to pop tatties in the oven. I love baked tattie nights. THink I'll make a little garlic butter for mine!
Excitement!
