good morning my darlings
have only read 30 pages of TMWQ. Bonadea is still in love with Ulrich, but he's gone off her. Poetry reading at Lloyds of London (the huge modern steel building - first time I'd been inside it) better than I'd expected and dammit there was free food (wine and canapes) so need not have had tea and egg sarnie beforehand. GP today, new inhaler, then gym. Promise.
Hope everyone has the day they hoped forAll Art is the transfiguration of the commonplace

Morning everyone
Haven't posted on the daily for ages it seems, not sure what happened, just seemed to get busier, gardening maybe. Anyway, hope everyone is well, healthy, sleeping etc. Have missed hearing about you and your families x
Have been doing lots of picking strawberries for us at PYO at local farm (ours at home are not ready yet) find it very theraputic wandering around a field picking and they are just lush too.
Nothing too exciting here today, ironing, tesco delivery coming, hoovering and making strawberry and rhubarb jam
Hope everyone has a super day x0 -
Morning!
just got a few mins left before I need to rinse off my hair colour so as usual I look very glam at the moment!
mrs_mix - good luck to your DS!
Off to work later but am allowed to pop out to Slimming World tonight for the weigh in, am not too optimistic but hope to have lost a pound:rolleyes:
DS finds out today whether he got the job he went for so all cross everything for him please! they said he would know today either by letter if he didn't get it or by phone if he did - no letter for him in the post so am hoping its good news!
Off to finish my hair now

Morning all
Queenie and DLB - hope your LO's and BO's are feeling better soon.
Gorgeous day here by the looks - not a cloud in the sky but a lovely cool breeze. DD2 was sleep walking again last night - she turned her cd player on - picked a cd, turned it up loud and then stripped her bed - duvet cover off - the lot......that was fun sorting out at 1am - she doesn't remember a thing this morning. Bless her!!!
Plans for today - get into loft and find electric fans was a bit airless here yesterday - also need to find a cat basket whilst I'm up there so that parrot can go in for an hour whilst I pressure wash his cage out........it gets a good scrub once a week but every now and then only the pressure washer will do.
Aslo need to clean the fish tank out, do you think they'd mind a blast with the pressure washer?
Chicken soup and jackets for tea.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Aussielass - would love to see a photo! I must admit I think you are brave going for the fancy sort of hair colouring! My colour needs doing again soon, but mine is an all over colour, so within my capabilities! My natural colour is not multi-tonal, but just a nice, all-over chestnut brown, but I have noticed in recent years it has decided it wants to become multi-tonal, and has started adding in these very, very pale blonde hairs - really quite white blonde - and I much prefer the original plan! (even though I have modified it slightly to a dark red)0

Hi,
Just logging back on again coz have missed train to work (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) second day in a row!!! It kills me when I run through the playground to drop DD1 and then round the back of the school to nursery to drop DD2 then run all the way down the main road to the car. Then drive like a looney to the train station where there are no parking spaces so I then have to run to the station down to the platform just to watch the train pull off. I get soooooo stressed about it but it happens a fair bit.
Anniebooklover - that's a gr8 idea I will add contacting the school to todays HUGE to-do list.
Hope every1s day's running more smoothly than mine!! - well apart from missing the train it's been OK - gave doggy a nice walk by the river b4 dropped DDs which they all enjoyed.

Morning all......((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) to those who need them
Had a rude awakening this morning, the door went at 8am, the plumber to put new taps in the bathroon, just on the sink, none for the bath, so we now have odd taps.............today the water board are to come and fit the water meter, so we have to wait until they come. Also waiting a cheque through the post, need to pick strawberries and alkso go to B & Q to return a bracket we do not need and get some new knobs for the kitchen cupboards............
Nice bright morning, windy but the sun is shining, much cooler than it has been, quite pleasant.........
Spag bol and garlic bread for supper tonight.
We are trying to get some sort of community coffee morning going.........we have a few people who have put their names down, so we are going to have a trial run next Wednesday, see who turns up.
Have just had a delivery from the US something I only ordered on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!! Could not believe that something could come so quickly 3 days ...................magic...............
Right off for my coffee fix.....................Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning everybody :hello:
Hope you are all keeping well and please take a ((((HUG)))) if you need one
Well my DD went to school on the bus for the first time todayshe is 13  I usually drop her off on the way to work or she walks from Grandma & Grandads house but as I now have no car she is having a go at bussing it
so I took the dog with me and walked her to the stop till she decided is was no longer cool to be seen waiting with her Mum ( who had only just about managed to pull on a pair of jeans & T shirt but hadnt introdced her hair to a brush yet :rotfl: )
BM on already and today I plan to sort out the little pile of paperwork that I have and then tackle the office/dump so if you dont hear from me today you know I have been buried under a pile of junk.
Got to pop to the doctors later on my bike to pick up a letter, DDog is a minature so she fits into the basket at the front nicely, we do get a few funny looks though.
My Dad is collecting DD from school as she has an after school club tonight so no busses available to bring her home. Then she has a dance class which I have pulled in a couple of favours from other Mums to give her a lift to and from.
Thats about it for the day - plan spag bog for dinner tonight and am going to try to use up some sorry looking leeks to make some soup for lunch.
Right Im going to introduce my hair to a brush - best do my teeth too
