Thank you for all your comments, we have not dismissed a terraced house or semi, now going detached only
I got 2k below rateable value for my house, which i though was really good.
Its a nightmare, there are houses on the market that I like, but the rateable value is about 20k over rateable value. Could I really go and view things around the 180 mark and offer 160?
We don't need 4 bedrooms, but most of the ones that are big downstairs are 4 bedroom houses
We can extend out the side of our house and put on a 6 x 4 m extension, just worried it will go over budget, 40k is our absolute maximum
In this market 2k off rateable value is fantastic. I only know one other couple who bought at rateable value and they were using coownership so didn't care what they paid. They are still waiting on a valuation though so it might not happen.
Honestly, if I was looking in Newtownabbey I would be looking to pay 10%+ off rateable value.
Even in BT9 they are going for 10-25% off.0
