no no no and once again NO.

I live in a town house ( mine is rented tho) Been here over 16 yrs, and for the first 14 yrs no problems at all.
Neighbours moved out, and new ones moved in.
Suddenly I can hear their conversations, going up and down stairs, doors opening/closing, all the above are normal household noise so HA wont act, despite the fact we never heard a thing for the 14 yrs, and still don't from the other side :(

If I could I would move from here in a heartbeat and would never recommend a townhouse for living in.

edited to add, my point is you might move in and neighbours be lovely and quiet like my old neighbours, they move and then you get a noisy family and all peace is lost :(

Great news that you've sold your house - I remember threads from you a while back where it wasn't selling and I think you took it off the market. So glad that you finally sold it and that it went so quickly this time round - I hope you'll find something that you're happy with soon.

Thank you!! Yes we had it on the market for 1 year back in 2009 and had 5 viewings

Now looking at this one, its not that modern inside but i can c the potential, what do you guys think?

I much prefer the other one you posted. it's amazing to gets so much space for so little money compared to Edinburgh.

Why don't you wind your personal abuse in, and consider what I said - Grand Piano. An acoustic instrument, not an electronic one.

no personal abuse intended ,my apologies,
it was a general comment concerning your comments about terrace houses
its only a forum , nothing personal , I don't even know you

off topic I know , but have you never heard of headphones ,
plenty of people who live in terrace houses like to do those things , not all are inconsiderate idiots.

It's not a crime to be a musician in a detached abode, like he said.

That's OK, but as you can see, I wasn't the only one to read your post as though it was directed at me.

  • The Greenisland one would be my choice out of all the one's you put up, though I realise that may be stretching your budget, but you could put a cheeky low bid in and see what happens.

Well guys we went to see a huge 1900 square foot mid townhouse (our current detached house is 1000) square feet.

The question is would u move from a detached.

I'm concerned about getting bad neighbours but couldn't afford a house of this size detached. Its a newer house but my family are saying its a big change to having neighbours again. The house is only 10 years old and we liked it. I'm concerned about neighbours too but keep thinking abt it. Here is a link below of the house in question

    Thanks

Nice house and I would love the extra space but it's basically a terraced and you might find your privacy invaded by being so close to two neighbours. If anyone awkward moved in next door you could be in for an uncomfortable time.
I would prefer a semi-detached because it's a decent compromise between privacy and space.
