Partner not introduced me to friends

Hi OP - I'm not necessarily right but the first thought that popped into my head was also, there is someone in that crowd she doesn't want you to meet.......... prob because they have been romantically involved at some point, or she still has feelings for.
I could be wrong of course, but that is my guess.0 -
My husband hid me from his friends. I presumed it was because he was into heavy rock and I was a bit too girly. Then one day he happened to mention that we'd been invited to a party and had been told his friends wanted to meet me.
I stuck out like a sore thumb in a dress and heels when the other women wore jeans and leather but he didn't leave my side except to go to the bathroom... In the space of a few short minutes i'd been 'hit on' by 4 of his friends!:rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I didn't meet my OHs friends for about 4 or 5 months after we got together, maybe she just doesn't feel like its something major.I did worry too about it, but now I get on really well with his friends and they're always over at ours, and now they won't go away!
We met each others parents about a month in, but I didn't meet his brother (who is a big part of his life, his best friend as well as his only proper family member as they don't get on well with their parents) for about 6 months.0 -

I think you should ask in a calm and non jokey way why you haven't met any of your partners friends yet. This is obviously an issue that bothers you, for you to have been left wondering if she is embarrassed by you. That is not something I would want any partner of mine to feel.
In all honesty I like to spend time getting to know someone for a little while before introducing them to my friends. However once I feel comfy and at ease in a relationship the next natural step is to include them in my social circle. It is all part of getting to know a person better, by seeing how they interact and get along with people who are already close to you.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

Are her friends accepting of her sexuality if her ex only met her best friend a few times, obviously you are not being treated differently if that makes sense0
