    Yes I understand now :D

I have no problem with how many daily threads are in the regular section. Personally I would just split the RC's from the rest in there own thread in the regular section.

    Daily Rafflecopters Thread

What I don't agree with is people asking for all the Rc's/FB/TW to not be posted on the main comp board but be on a sub board.

That is selfish & ungrateful to the other people who do want to enter them so want them on the main comp board & for the people who take a lot of time & effort into posting them so people can win

I agree that the main board should have everything on.

I don't enter TW comps and v.rarely enter Raf's and only enter FB comps if they are a company that I'm interested in or use already, so end up with many more red crosses than green ticks but wouldn't want any of those put on a different section of the board.

Technically it would benefit me to have them separate but I like to see all the comps posted in the same place and only takes a sec to red cross something.

That's how I see it. I don't have FB but I still need to see them to link to daily/weekly or help by asking people to change the titles or spot a dupe.

Every comp has just as much right to be posted on the main board.

This time next year I bet there will be more people entering Rc's.

I'm afraid I disagree. By putting, for example, all the twitter comps in one place, it would make it much easier for

    a) those who want to avoid them to do so
    and
    b) those who do want to enter them to do so more quickly

I stopped entering twitter competitions a while back because my friends complained about them, but then, following a suggestion from an MSE User, I set up a separate twitter account, just for competitions, and I usually go through and do all the twitter ones at the same time, so having them all in one place would make that easier.

Sounds good to me too Luckster :T I can see the sense of grouping the RCs together in the regs board. Perhaps that might entice people back to the dailies who don't want to trawl through the RCs?

Re the main board, Maine Blue said it for me too. Trouble is that when peeps want any type of comp housed somewhere else, it's always because they don't do those comps. For those who do it's so much easier to just trawl through the one main board, at least initially to find them. Then they can do extra entries via the dailies, or whatever system they choose. Also, it's not sensible to put all the Twitter comps together because if you do too many too quickly, Twitter throws you in the sin bin for a few minutes and won't let you tweet.

Whatever comps go onto a separate board means that some users will not find them. Even with the magazine dailies I bet there are some who don't enter them, but would've, at least once, if they'd been posted on the main board as they used to be. So I'm defo not in favour of splitting the board up even more.

What I'd personally love to see, is a tickbox option which HAS to be completed (before the comp can be posted) when adding a new comp to the board which indicates whether a comp is web, email, post, TW, FB or RC (or all of the above!). Then a filter option could be added to the main comps board to include (or exclude) those options. That would then mean that peeps who like to enter all types of comps can ignore the filter and still see everything in one place, but others who don't like to do certain types of comps (ie, FB, TW or RC), can filter the thread to exclude them. The same could be applied to the Regular comps board.

However, I am aware that this is probably quite challenging technically, so appreciate that I probably want too much. lol

But just curious, would this option suit most (if not all) compers on the board?

Brill! Gets my vote - assuming tech team would be happy :A

Edit: Perhaps could include optional categories too? Kids, wedding, tickets, etc. Just as quick to tick a box as to type (kids), e.g.?

Here is how to avoid seeing the competitions you don't want to see I.E RC's FB, TW

Loqax has this because it is a dedicated competition forum so they can tweek the board as they want it.

We are not a dedicated Competition forum we are a small part of MSE forum which is huge & I doubt very much the forum team would have the time to do it &/or be able to do it

It is definitely possible to do, whether or not there is the time/resources/inclination to do it or not is another story.

But it's just a suggestion and I was wondering how others felt about it and if, indeed, it is something that the tech team have the time/resources/inclination (they may, of course, feel it is not a high priority) to do.
