Time to separate Rafflecopter comps in regs?

As title, ;)
Just been through last few pages of daily comps and it seems that non-rafflecopter daily comps are now in the minority !
Would it therefore be better for them to have their own, separate thread either within the daily or reg section? There seem to be a lot of compers that don't do them, so would probably benefit both sides of the fence.
Just an idea....

P.S. How would one go about affecting any change if the idea got overwhelming support?

Discuss... :rotfl:

N.B. to clarify... Am a firm believer that all comps need to be on the main board where they get maximum exposure.
My suggestions (As Cagsd made clearer than me, sorry :o!) was that there be a separate subsection within the regular / daily board as it seems that the RC comps are dominating that thread. This must be frustrating for those that bother to use the regs boards & don't do R/C.
Personally I do, saving them in a favourites file on my laptop and I do the daily tweet if I have time. I have won from them too, tho' they seem to have a mad number of entries for often quite small prizes  :rotfl:

Not keen on the idea myself, feel we already have enough sections for various types of comps.

I'd like them to stay on the main board please.

I sometimes do them. I think as long as it has Rafflecopter mentioned I can choose to either skip them or have a look if I like the prize.

The blog ones with loads of entry options put me off straight away but some are just a simple like and tweet.

But all RCs are different! Some require a mandatory comment, others require a mandatory "like" or "follow". Separating them wouldn't really be useful at all - what about the email only, blog comment, Facebook, Twitter, etc comps?

Too many sections could get confusing (but that is just my personal opinion).

Forgive me if I've read the OP wrong, but it sounds to me as though grannybiker is suggesting that we have a separate Rafflecopter thread on the Regular Comps board, not a separate board for Rafflecopter comps?? I.e. the comps would continue to be posted as normal on the main board, but instead of being linked to the "dailies" thread, they would instead be linked to a new Rafflecopter thread?

If I'm right in the way I'm reading this suggestion, then I'm all for it. I really don't like RC and avoid about 98% of comps using it, only ever entering if it's a) something I'd really love to win and b) if the main condition is just a FB like or a comment - I don't use Twitter.

I have found it's taking me aaaaaaages to plough through the dailies thread at the moment as most of the comps listed on it are RCs. I for one would welcome them being linked elsewhere - but like I said before and stress again, I don't mean we should have a separate board for each type of comp entry FB, TW, RC etc etc. That is way too much work I reckon!

The thing is that whenever anyone suggests separating a group of comps, whether RC, Facebook and/or Twitter, invariably their reason is because they don't like doing that category of comps.

If you don't do RC, it makes perfect sense to house them somewhere else. The thing is though that for those of us who do them, it means trawling through another section, which is a bit of a pain.

At the mo I do my dailies, then the magazine dailies and then the main comps board. So I'm not really keen on having to work through a RC section, and then I suppose a FB one, and a Twitter one, and who knows what next. For me, I would love a kiddie section and a family one, so that I could avoid those - see what I mean? It works for those who don't do that type, but not so great for those who do.

The best way, as I've mentioned before, would be to have a filter system within the search facility. That way we could all filter out whichever comp categories we wanted to.

    Blu X

Edit: Also if all the RCs were housed together those doing them would have a problem with doing too many tweets together. Twitter doesn't let you do too many too quickly.

I think it needs to be kept in one daily thread like it is now.

    BUT

The problem is the same one that has gone on all year.

The daily thread needs updating EVERY DAY just like the daily mag thread is run.

THIS IS NOT HAVING A GO AT GLAD

I know Glad is very busy with her own RL, & two other boards to BG over as well as this forum.

This is why I would not let any BG run a section of the boards because they do not have as much time as a ordinary member

This comes up time & time again & nothing gets done to solve the problem of the daily's thread

Sorry If I have offended anyone this is not my intention I am just saying what I believe should be done

I do love a rafflecopter comp and have won from them so would like them to stay as is on the main board.

As for daily, what if those who want to enter them daily save the tweet as a favourite then go to their favourites every day and work down the rafflecopters until the comp ends - thus removing them from the daily sections but keeping them on the main page?

    Just a thought?
