Have just taken out 2 new contracts so can give only limited info. Were businesslike and efficient in sale process and I phoned the cashback people to double check which bills to submit etc. and spoke to a helpful lady who gave me the info I needed.
It is unclear whether they are owned by Caudwell / Dextra, who are a very large outfit, or whether Dextra simply supply them. When I rang Orange to activate my SIM cards, they cards came up on their system as having been ssupplied by Dextra.
The general consensus - others will correct me - is that they are an OK outfit.
Their cashback terms are very strict and inflexible but seem to yield to common sense (I hope). They require original bills supplied as only 1 claim per envelope. However, the 2 orange contracts that I took out have been put by Orange on a single account generating only one original bill. When I rang to check how I could meet the T&C for the cashback, I was assured that a copy bill for one of the 2 claims would be fine if I supplied a covering letter explaining. Time will tell if this gives rise to an issue.0 -
They take 2 to 3 months to pay each cheque back assumming u have followed their t&c to the letter and not 28 days as they like to state and this is normally after chasing them frequently, sometimes you wonder if they will pay up. Hope it helps.0

Beware if you're thinking of going with them.
Phoneboxdirect & coolnewmobile are the same company and go under the name of Mobile Affilliates.
Exert from my previous post:-
(sorry if I go on a bit but these 'legal criminals' get me steaming!)
If anyone is thinking of going through phoneboxdirect I would advise........ DON'T!
I'm sure there are a few people that have managed to get some money back, but they make it as difficult as possible and i'd like to find out how many people they have actually ripped off (you're welcome to reply if this is you).
If anyone is still thinking of trying it, here's a few golden rules you have to follow:-
1. They don't send any paperwork through the post so make sure you copy and save your contract and terms and conditions when you sign up with them.
2. Save the first email they send you because it includes the claim form and a ref number that you can't claim without.
3. If you port your number over, they ask you to also send your first bill with proof of porting on. Which in some cases, as mine with Orange, is more difficult than it sounds, as they dont mention the porting on your bill and you have to contact them yourself and pay extra to have a letter sent, proving this (which takes up valuable claiming time if you leave it too late).
4. Finally work out your claim dates at the start and make note in your diary, phone, calender etc. Whatever works for you.
If anyone can think of anything else, please add them as it'd be good if we could beat these rip off merchants at their own game.
But as people have said before, its better to go with one of the other sites that are more reputable.
I have had my refused claim looked at by Trading Standards, and it seems that they can get out of paying the whole claim because my claim only reached their PO box by the date they stated and not themselves!
The fact that they state that PO box as their claim address and don't give you another address, doesn't seem to matter!0 -
I did all this and had my cash back for 4 and 6 months, sent the 8 months and the 10 month and they say they have not recieved the 8 month which I know I have sent so they have refused to pay my cash back, this is Phoneboxdirect. Will not be dealing with them again. I do not think they are the only ones ripping people off.0

But did you use a form of post that tracks delivery such as Recorded or Special Delivery as everyone on here advises ? I susepct not. It is plain with ALL the cashaback sites that unless you do, they will not pay.0 -
I've had a couple of cashback deals with them and got all my money back.
As long as you follow their instructions and send your claims by recorded delivery, you should get paid out.0 -
OK - my mobile affiliates (Phone box direct) dispatch note is dated 22 Feb 07
My first Voda bill is dated 22 Mar and covers the period 23 Feb - 31 Mar
Days from connection:
120 23 Jun
180 22 Aug
240 21 Oct
300 20 Dec
360 18 Feb
So should I send my june 22 (Covers 1-30 June) or july 22 bills for claim 1?
How about thereafter - Aug, Oct, Dec and Feb?
Thanks for any adviceI think....0 -

Actually, my calculations suggest that 22 June is the 120 day point:
23 Feb - 28 Feb = 6 days
March = 31 days
April = 30 days
May = 31 days
total to 31 May = 6 + 31 + 30 + 31 = 98
add in 22 days of June and you get your 120 day point.
Note that, while your despatch note says 22 Feb, your first bill only charges from 23 Feb. Thus 23 Feb is your first day of connection.
The key here is that a bill dated 1 day after connection confirms 2 days of connection (the connection day and the date of the bill).
As the previous respondent has suggested, it's the date of the bill that matters, not the period that it covers. If the June bill is dated 22 June or later then that's the bill to use - if it's dated 21 June or earlier then it's the July bill that you will need.So should I send my june 22 (Covers 1-30 June) or july 22 bills for claim 1?
Basically, you simply count the days from the start of the contract (including the first day, 23 Feb, and the day of the bill) - if it's the first bill that equals or exceeds the relevant threshold of 120 days, 180 days, 240 days etc... then that's the bill to use for your next claim.
