So they say you didn't take part in a work programme in January? Are they correct, or have they got the facts wrong?

For someone who uses this board so regularly and details their difficulties in such detail, I am amazed that you come across so rudely and a wee bit judgemental!

Real or not, OP deserves the benefit of the doubt. If he is not real, someone might well be in the same circs.

  • Sorry chap, you're had four years out of work, more than enough time to get some help with your literacy skills. Here is a course that starts shortly:

It looks like it's covering bad law, government has appealed a decision in courts, has won, is applying decision retrospectively (going baack in past), so people who weren't sanctioned in past for this, can now be sanctioned.

The sanction.pdf letter in post #4, says DWP will be writing again telling you what you can do if you think decision is wrong, so you can still appeal.

You asked do i have mentail helf problems howdo i answer that am just me.
as for the doctor i have only been 2 times once for a sick line for work and
i had pnewmona about 6 years ago.
as for arguing with myself it the only convesation i have.
sometimes i can go 2 weeks and not have a conversation with anyone am a willy weirdo. so not going to doc will end up there evenchilly

I was not going to participate in this thread as I found it difficult to know what to type. However, I will take it at face value.

Speaking to oneself out loud is not always a bad thing! Can help clarify things. I do it myself!

As for speaking to anyone for weeks at a time. Ever considered voluntary work? And I mean something genuine where you will benefit mentally and possibly spiritually from knowing you've made a difference, even in a small way.

You can also benefit from seeing and speaking to unfamiliar faces, some of whom may become friends over time.

You'll also build up a network of people that may be able to offer real support and point you in the right direction.

Sorry I can't offer anything more concrete right now. All I can say is don't be alone. Speak to someone. You'll be surprised how many may be in a similar situation to you.

MSE has a few saddoes who get their kicks making spiteful personal comments. They're trying to make themselves feel superior at your expense, they don't realise that most people despise them for it.

Other posters have given you sensible advice, like visiting the CAB - just take notice of them and ignore the creeps.

Do you have a decent MP? If you do, make an appointment at his surgery and tell him what's going on and ask for his help. If he brushes you off or says he can't help then ask him to refer you to someone who can.

N.B. For the nit-pickers and saddoes: When OP says the woman at the CAB is brand new he doesn't mean it's her first day in the job! It means she's good ;)
Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.
