Older gamers ?

Are there any older gamers out there, I occasionally like to play COD, fifa or whatever flavour of the month is. And enjoy the chatting but not to screamy little kids who probably shouldn't be on these games. Just wondered if there are any older gamers that I could add

Im 28 and was previously part of an "Older Gamers Clam" in my CoD and Fifa days. This meant that whenever I was online playing, I could party up with other members online (around 100 members when I was there) and there was no screaming abusive kids calling me a Noob haha. It also increased the enjoyment as there was always a full team of members which helped in games like CoD

guess you can get mature 18 year olds but generally 25 - 55+

I'm 30 just now and i'll be disappointed with myself if i'm still not playing games in my 40's. Keeps the reflexes and mind sharp

I'm mid 40's and still play, mostly on PC though. Steam is a godsend, and stops me having to visit all those terrible computer game shops on the high street.

I'm only 37 and I don't consider myself to be an 'older' gamer.

When I played Final Fantasy XI (MMORPG) I'd often get chatting to people on there and it wasn't uncommon to find players in their 40's, and the odd one into their 50's. The oldest player I came across said they were in their mid-60's although obviously I can't confirm that....

As for what I play on, it's really dependant on whether or not my 3 kids are in bed! If they're not, then the answer is 'not-very-much' as most of the games I like to play aren't really suitable for them to see!

I am close to 70 and still play online games {normally the fantasy ones} as often as I can. Although I have been playing online for around 20 years I play solo most of the time as I have had too many cases of 12/13 year old's not believing my age so I now steer clear. I know that it can and has stopped me doing a lot of things in WOW and games like LOTR but I enjoy the games and feel that my age should not be a barrier to enjoying a bit of light relief :0)

I am 33 soon.. does that mean I am an older gamer! Is it bad that I remember when games came on cassette tapes and in order to cheat on your favorite game you have to spend about an hour writing line after line of code from C64 Magazine..... Oh the good old days.

There is a website called Gamerdads which I have found which is a community aimed at the older gamer if anyone is interested.

I'm 26, guess I just qualify . I plan to be gaming as long as I can, your never to old to enjoy yourself and gaming keeps the mind sharp.
