  • But it is up to 10 years ago.
In your opening post, it was six years ago.
If your (eventual) complaint is as full of inconsistencies as the information you have provided in this thread then it will doubtless fail.
  • To be clearer(sorry) the mortgage was started in 2003/4 and ended in 2007.

And yes, you keep saying it will fail! Thanks for the helpful support lol

I'll support you if you post anything that indicates that you have a valid complaint. So far you haven't.
    Sorry.
  • Do you by any chance work for the Yorkshire Bank?

If not, you really should ;))

Mortgage PPI is comepltely different to PPI.

You don't follow all the same steps when complaining as you do for loan orcredit card PPI.

You may have had MPPI with another provider, not the people who sold you the mortgage. It probably came out as a separate payment so check your bank statements from then, if you bank online, you can check up to 10 years ago in some cases, as long as you haven't changed bank accounts.

So..can I insist on a copy of my original credit agreement without being fobbed off or do I need to go down the SAR route as mentioned above?

There is no credit agreement. That isnt how mortgages work. Plus, MPPI wouldnt appear on the offer letter anyway.
I can then accertain whether or not I took MPPI I'm not sure.

it wont appear on your mortgage paperwork. One of the reasons MPPI has a low success rate is that it is standalone.

I can call my bank and ask directly IF I took MPPI.

You can. Although if you used a broker, they woudlnt know if you had MPPI or not.
