can I insist on a copy of my original credit agreement without being fobbed off
    As I said;
No, the Bank have already told you in their letter that your mortgage is not covered by CCA regulations. They don't have to provide any agreement.
This not being "fobbed off", there genuinely is no requirement for the Bank to provide a credit agreement for a mortgage.

I don't think A SAR would provide anything useful in your case. You said in your opening post that you had this insurance in the last six years, so you hardly need any "historical" information.
  • The account is now closed and so I don't have the original numbers an so on...this is why I would like the CA. I can then accertain whether or not I took MPPI I'm not sure. If I did, then I want to reclaim on the basis it was misold for the reasons above.

I distinctly remember that I was told/led to believe it was compulsory and therefore this, as far as I can see is a valid claim?

    Yes the year was 2003/4

You can't have it, how many times do you want me to say it?
I can then accertain whether or not I took MPPI I'm not sure.
If you are not sure, simply ring the Bank and ask them. The information is not lost in the depths of time, it was six years ago.

Now you are just contradicting yourself. You said you don't know if you actually had PPI, but you now say you "distinctly remember" being told it was compulsory.

    Good luck with your "complaint".
  • I just want to check and see what my options are? What's your problem?

Maybe you need another "hobby"? Jeeeez

I came on here to ask advice because I don't really know what I am doing
    (That's why I need advice)

I appreciate what you're trying to say but please...there is no need to be condescending/ short with me.

You can simply pass the thread by.

    Best regards

Can you see how these two statements contradict?

You've had six responses from me in this thread and at least three of them simply repeat what I told you in the first.
Of course I'm becoming a bit short with you.

As I said, good luck with your "complaint"
  • Yes of course I can. But it is up to 10 years ago.

In actual fact I think mr ineptitude gave me an answer. I can call my bank and ask directly IF I took MPPI.

If this is correct then I am extremely grateful. Thank you.

If anyone else can add any advice, it would be appreciated
