I wouldn't say that I can't afford. We've done these type of holidays before.

However, VIP tables has never been booked or even mentioned before. It is a new member of our group who took it upon themselves to book VIP. This person is also the highest earner of the group. Others have mentioned not being particularly happy, however the deposit has been paid and the booker will lose this money if the VIP table is not used.

The booker loosing the money all or a deposit?

If you have not paid your 100 euros you loose nothing. So you don't have to loose anything, your choice.

The others mentioning they are not particularly happy, did they say it in a loud enough to hear voice, went to the booker and let them know or was it just mumblings and they are now happy the VIP table is booked and are looking forward to it?

Just curious, what do you get at a VIP table? 500 euros is a lot of money.

Varies, according to the clubs I looked at online, some will give you a few bottles of spirits, others will give you the value of what youve paid for the table in alcohol (although I imagine the prices for drink in these clubs arent cheap), you'll generally get to bypass the queue for the club and obviously get into the VIP section.
  • One of the other girls doesn't want to do it either, so it will now be 3 of them that will have to pay 500euros.

You get sunlounger/deckchair to sit on and the price of the drinks for 500euros. At 10euros for standard drinks - vodka, wine - the money does not go far.

Hopefully, it won't cause too many problems with 2 of us dropping out of this.

have you both told the person who's booked the VIP table that you are not going, and not paying?

Well if it does, then the newcomer / booker has brought it on themselves by not considering and consulting the other members of the group first. It really isn't your fault.

That's 50 drinks worth for 3 of them...You'd better stand outside the club at closing time with a wheelbarrow to get them home again! Or did I get that wrong and the drinks aren't included in the price?

You can't drop out of something you weren't consulted about. What you are doing is abstaining from going. Tell them you hope they have a marvellous time and milk the VIP table for every penny.

I have said tonight that I won't be going, I don't know about the other girl yet.
