Urgent - canon mp 282 ****

Hi guys

Really need to print out a document urgently.

Feel like screaming.

Canon MP282 is cabled up to my laptop, toner all fine but laptop is stating the following:


DEFAULT , printer offline. It isn,t offline, all fine.

We have even bought a new usb cable

Really feel like throughing it at the moment but I can,t as we desperately need 2 documents.

Help, Help, Help PLEASE :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Which operating system are you using?

Find Printers and look for your printer, and check whether it is offline...

If it was working before and sudenly isn't then it might be due to a confilct with some newly installed software or a driver update.

Windows XP, or Windows Vista, or Windows 7, or Windows 8
or some flavour of Linux...

This was only so I could give you more idea of where to find Printers.

Try Start then Control Panel then something starting Printers.

Yeah I did try the "Start", but still stating , "Printer offline", when as far as I can see everything is fine.

I am now screaming:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Look though the menus for your particular printer, and set the Properties setting to offline, then to online again. Power the printer off, then turn it on again. Check Properties again.

Why should "the latest drivers" have anything to do with a printer appearing offline when it worked perfectly quite recently?
