How often do you use the computer? Is it every day?
How fast is your Internet connection?
When it won't shut down what processes are running in the background?
How full is your hard disk?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
use it every day
38% full
nothing shows on the bottom as being open/running, but sometimes there is a whiring noise. how can u tell what is running.
failed to fireup just now. plug out/in, then it fire up0 -
My laptop did that. It cost £25 to find out why from a computer firm. The answer? Keep the on/off button depressed for a minute or so. Easy.0

on/off button.... dont have one, not on keyboard, or tower. Only a plug/out, will turn it off
do you actually have an 'on/off' ?
so what was your reason ?0 -
how do you switch it on
could be power supply
backup!!
> . !!!! ----> .0 -
it is always 'switched on', ie there is always a small light at the back. When it closes down, the light is still on, but it powers down and everything closes. Do you physically unplug the plug at the wall then ??0
-
how do you wake it up then, power button top right?

When PC's or laptops are in a stuck state, holding down the power button for 6 seconds avoids the need to pull the power out of the back!!

Ignore the small light at the back, that's just saying there is power going to it.
How do you actually switch the computer on?
What do you press that switches it on?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
