@OP, you need to urgently find out whether Andrew James Enforcement are acting as bailiffs or debt collectors in this case, and for whom they are acting.

@Guest101; Please stop muddying the issue - you've already assumed that this is a PPC when the OP hasn't provided enough information for us to know, and the OP has said that someone visited his house, so there is a chance that the matter has already been heard in court - a quick Google search will tell you that Andrew James Enforcement act as bailiffs.

I admit i jumped the gun. Though i did ask to clarify who it was that visited.

Clearly this is bailiffs and the OP needs to work this out asap. As it is a Penalty notice. But the OP has said that no court papers were issued. Which obviously doesnt make sense.
  • Will do, love to see them force themselves into the property or even find anything in my name!!

If these are bailiffs, they've probably been tasked with taking the vehicle. :/

But if you are the registered keeper the court papers should've come in your name.

Not sure what your awareness of debt collectors/ bailiffs is, so just to clarify, if its debt collectors, your fine. If its bailiffs, you may be in a spot of bother.
  • Car's got HP so not officially the owner. I have no issues paying whats due but £800 on a first/final notice is a bit steep lol.

But you don't want to be paying HP on a car you no longer have!

  • I'll put it in the garage to be safe. there is another car on the drive which doesn't belong to me, let's hope they don't touch that and cause any damage as the owner wouldn't be best pleased.
  • To be honest what bailiffs I've dealt with in my time, they have all been nice guys doing a job I wouldn't envy or want to do.
