That happened to me before :( it's very mixed up ATM. Ive left it alone for a week or so. Im now up to date with what they owe me for the purchases I made when it did work properly. I might look at what's on there before I go shopping today. I need to buy crisps

He's absolutely correct though! What possible problem can they have with that (just that it wasn't in conformity with their expectations):rotfl:? Nothing "significant" may have happened - lots of things, fairly insignificant, happen each day - that might have built up to something more.

But that wasn't (I presume) what they asked.

I bet nothing significant's happened since I was born! (Especially not on their wording of their own question:rotfl::p) (:p to them not you!)

And not only on a personal level but when you compare it to great periods of history - the Great Fire of London, the Industrial Revolution, the Great Exhibition, World Wars I and II - nothing significant has happened in the last 7 years. Choosing of the next X-factor or Big Brother winner certainly doesn't qualify in my book either!:p:D:rotfl::rotfl:

Savvy - I have to disagree with you here.
Take the internet - just for an example. It was just 16 yrs ago when I bought my first computer that could go on the internet (yes, computers have been around since at least the 50's but they were the size of VERY large buildings and had FAR less computing power than a simple phone.)

I'd say the internet available to everyone afford-ably is a VERY significant period in history. It's changed peoples lives FAR more than anyone expected in the early days. I even got married due to the internet. Found my hubby online - quite possibly the first transatlantic wedding from people meeting online (1998) - BUT we didn't want/court any publicity. Over a year later it was on TV if people just met on the internet & TV cameras everywhere if someone met someone from overseas. We just watched and smiled!

In 1997 the internet was available but searching was totally down to logic - stringing search words together and hoping it brought up what you were looking for. Google changed this dramatically.

I think you've lived through, we all have, a VERY significant period in history!

One thing that amazes me is the Kindle. Who'd have believed 20 years ago that we could hold a whole library in one hand? I'd always wanted a library (my 2000+ books attest to this!) but now I'm happy with just my kindle. I must get around to selling/giving them away it'll leave me with SO much more space.

OMG lots of us have lived through some VERY significant times. The first space flight, TV readily available, Wi-Fi etc. etc. etc.

I remember my nan telling me of a 'crazy old man' that used to visit them when she was a girl. She said he reckoned that everyone would have cars (this was in late 1800's) and they would be able to fly all over the world. He also told her that people would go to the moon! Crazy?

    Not so crazy now!
