Morning, Be careful with DrO pizza today.
Still showing £2.78 on msm at Ts.
Where do sainsbobs collect prices from ? Ts show correct price of £1.39. Hth x
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I love waking up and not knowing what the day will bring.

I WISH MSM would get their Dr O prices correct:mad:. I want to use my vouchers! Waitrose have the Panebello at BOGOF £2.99 and Tescos have the Restorante at £1.39 but MSM not updating.

Call me suspicious but I'm actually wondering if Dr O have been in touch with MSM as they are losing so much money on their pizzas?
  • Good morning Elite.

No way am I catching up - been off air since lunchtime yesterday, no idea how long we will be back on, think there is a problem with the modem.

Looking at what has happened in our lifetimes, I find this a very exciting period of history, I remember watching the first moon landing, and Voyager (which was launched I think in 1977 when I was just 16) has now left the solar system.

When I was first working on a computer I was amazed that an A4 page would fit on a 7 inch floppy, now we have terabyte memory sticks!
We will soon have TV screens we can just roll up and put away.

In fact our technology is more advanced than they imagined it would be in the 24th century (think Star Trek), and is only being held up by the lack of R&D funds! I find this very frustrating, when you look at Concorde we should have regular supersonic flights around the world, but again it is all about money.

The person that invented money has a lot to answer for!

I had a bit of a moan at TalkTalk and they sent me a new modem/router for free in the post, you need to get though to somebody at manager level (in the Philippines as it happens).

We're with Virgin, we have a "technician" coming tomorrow. Will wait and see how long it takes him to come to the conclusion we have, will inform him of the problems we have had which point to the modem and see how bright he is :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The funny thing is when we threatened to leave and go to sky one of their comments was that we would have to pay to get any cabling problems sorted, it rather deflated them when my OH pointed our that we are telecom engineers :D

  • Enterprise - you young thing, you! :)

I remember first using a computer for Microbiological testing. We had to put all the figures in on the computer VERY carefully and it spat out binary computer tape that had to be sent off to a "super" computer, at great cost to compute how strong the anti-biotic etc. was. The HUGE computer at the factory, in a probably 40ft x 50ft room wasn't powerful enough to compute this. Nowadays our mobile phones would probably easily do it. I was at the cutting edge when I bought a computer to print out all my monthly invoices in the 80's - In truth I couldn't type except with 1 finger and was damned if I was typing new invoices every month to numerous people so it was a no-brainer for me!

The first time I saw a FAX machine document I was in awe! We could read a document sent over a telephone cable and see it exactly the same as it looked the other side!

Digital cameras - amazing! When hubby & I met online they were too prohibitively expensive and rare to have a personal one.

SO many changes in my lifetime.
