Wedding card box?!!!

I'd go for one like this and decorate it up so that it fits your theme and so that ribbon etc would cover the lock, no one would know.0 -
They could always just make off with the whole box of course! Just sayin' :-)0

The box with a lock is EXACTLY what I'm looking for, thanks!!!
She's coming because she's the brides sister who most people hate and don't trust (common theif, drug addict ect...) but the mother of the bride loves her so it's easier to invite than fight.
THANKS ALL!!!0 -

We made ours. Used a photocopy paper box for the body and cut hole for the "post" to go through. Covered in red pillar box paper and made a front sheet like you have on real post boxes with our names and the date of the wedding etc. all our guests posted their cards into it with no problem and to open it the following morning we had to cut the back open so you couldn't get into it. We looked on line for a template idea and every loved it and it was very cheap. We still have it and keep all our lovely cards in it.
The other thing was our best man took it away from the evening reception at about 9.30pm and put in our locked bridal suite. So totally safe and yes to be fair ours contained a lot of money so a light fingered person would have done very well indeed. Luckily we didn't have to deal with anyone like that at our wedding but we were conscious that it was a hotel and you don't know who else is staying there.
Plus the gift table was in full view of everyone rather than tucked out of sight and our best an and chief bridesmaid kept an eye on things for us.0 -
If she's that bad you might want to nail it down, too :rotfl:
Seriously, we used to get thieves nicking charity tins/boxes from the shop counter where I used to work. Some people have no shame whatsoever.0 -

Exactly!
Surely you're just drawing attention to the fact that there are cards with money in the box, short of having someone guarding the box how are you going to prevent her making away with the whole damn thing?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

This sounds extreme (secretly I hope she sees that this is for her) but I'm going to buy this http://goo.gl/C3IeNM (as suggested) and chain it to a post :rotfl:0 -
I 100% wish I didn't have to invite her but this is family.0

Although she has the brain power of a clog, I think she'd be able to gain entry to a cardboard box lol0
