Whats the best Smartphone around at the mo?

Thinking of just keeping my iphone 4GS - there's nothing wrong with it - except the battery has to be charged every half day!

Apart from that it does all I need it to do and I'm used to it. There's no need to bother with an upgrade - unnecessary expense!

Am I right to stick with iPhone? (I'm lazy at transferring data etc. Could I do it through the iCloud onto a new smartphone?

thanks

With phones their is a new "better" one out every 6 months

If you like one get it! if not wait for a few months and something new will turn up.

Saying that hold of for at least the next 6-8 weeks for the new Google and apple phones to be released! ^_^

  • It depends really, I recently upgraded to an S4 which works like a dream, but it's full of bloatware, which I don't like.

I would get yourself a new battery if possible, and see how that goes.

If your battery is dying that quickly...
Are you running any apps like "runkeeper" etc that measure how far you walk/run? They drain thew battery in next to no time.

I'd suggest double clicking the home button, then press on the first icon for a second or two until it vibrates and has the no entry sign above it. Then go through and delete every single one. Don't panic - it's not deleting the apps, just shutting them down.
Next, to save power switch off bluetooth & wifi if you are not using them every day.

I don't think iPhones have changeable batteries. The early ones certainly didn't.

iPhones 5S and 5C are apparently due for launch in a few days. Nobody knows the specs yet, but likely to be a mid-to-high market phone, with a premium pricetag.

Officially they don't have replacable batteries, but it's quite easy to do...

£7 for a new battery and a couple of minutes of your time:

or get one of the extended battery covers that have popped up for the iPhone.
The case makes the phone nearly twice as thick but you get double the battery life.
