  • Well done :) theres no feeling quite like it! Be mega proud of yourself x
    It is what it is...
  • Well done Bob.

I, too, became debt free in August. I'm not quite sure how I feel- it's been there so long it was like a security blanket - I just feel a bit numb, really. I keep telling myself - 'you've got no debts' but it hasn't really sunk in. Maybe it will when, like you, I get my first payday with no debts to pay :)

Glad that you are enjoying you debt-free state.

Try not (at least in the early stages) to focus on what's still to pay, but rather on how much you are paying.

Focusing on the fact you've paid almost £2,000, is far more uplifting, than focusing on the fact you owe £10,700.

I think the 50% mark is the psychological tipping point, in that you are on the "downhill stretch" so to speak.

Setting myself small targets next one to be under 10k by end October. More positive today, no spending over weekend, and garden project got started on next phase:T

    Thanks for the advice

  • with less than 13 hours till pay day, I still have over £30 in my bill paying account.

Usually, by this time, I'm doing well to have 30p left in the account.
