I think the 50% mark is the psychological tipping point, in that you are on the "downhill stretch" so to speak.

I was just thinking about that, I'm near my 50% but it only just clicked when I updated my signature tonight. I've actually paid off quite a bit and when Ithink about it for me its a huge achievement and I really should give myself a pat on the back!

Well done Bob, an inspiration that it can be done! :T

I've never looked forward to a pay day so much.

For the first time, in nearly 35 years, nothing from my salary, will be going toward debts.
    :j

Mega-congratulations! That is going to be a great feeling when you see the first DF month's bank statement. :T

Maybe you ought to frame it as your first DF statement in a looong time! The first of very many, I hope. :)

Well done you... Reading the value food comments. Even when I pay off my IVA I'm not switching to more expensive brands for some of them purely because they taste the same or better so more money for other things.

I think a holiday is a must.. I did a 'one day' promise to the girls tht I'd take them to splash landings at Alton towers and that will be my treat next Easter.

    Enjoy but don't go overboard!
